Hi all.

Just read a snippit report in the English league newspapers this week, about Gateshead Thunder (near Newcastle, playing 3rd division) signing "a Tongan prop playing reserve grade at NRL side Wests" for next year without mentioning any name. Any idea who?

Also mentions Gateshead are signing "another 28 year old Australian prop with a European passport", presumably someone else currently playing Premier League somewhere?

I guess the Tongan prop could be Siikeaha Teaupa. The other could be anyone.

Go Siikeha! Former Parramatta boy.

I'll post any more signings from English lower league clubs that I read about here. There's a fair amount of Aussie players running around here...

I've tried to update the lists now that it is confirmed that the Roosters won't compete in Premier League and their contracted players will play for Newtown with the Sharks contracted players leaving Newtown to play for the Sharks who it looks like will be in Premier League again next year. Its complicated.

ben harris went to bradford not leeds not that it make much diffence as he was a first grade player not a reggie.
but keep up the good work, good to know where the younger players are going.

He was listed in Premier League early in the year. Thanks for spotting the error.

Dammit we are losing Namila Davui, he's been a top player for us. What age would he be?
He's 23. It will be a big loss. But hopefully he won't play much Premier League next year. Surely he will be playing NRL.

Hey girvie, would Garrett Crossman be available for the Bears next year? After all, he signed with the Storm for 2 seasons IIRC.

He might play (hopefully). But he didn't play Premier League this year so he wasn't included in the list.

Those in bold are under contract for next year at th very least. Danny Russell is off to the Roosters apparently.

Yeah, I've heard that too. Quite a wierd situation, as he was targetted by the Roosters last year, but couldn't get him for this year, so he's spending a year "in transit" at Parra... but has had a wretched run with injuries this year.
