QLD team for Game 2

Hannant should be there, probably in place of DCE - not entirely sure how he fits into the equation given all of the QLD playmakers are capable of a full 80 minutes.

One thing I though QLD needed was more props, so they choose less props.

Honestly those selections remind me of NSW two years ago. Thought for sure Hannant would be in.

That's a fair risk they're taking, giving DCE a bench spot in a must-win game for the side...
You would think so but didn't NSW do a similar thing last game and didn't even use their player?

I think that's a great team, DCE is slightly puzzling but Cronk and Thurson have looked a bit dusty so perhaps DCE will be injected later into games, we've actually needed someone like that for a few series now.

The team line up wasn't the problem last game, it was the execution...hopefully the squad will fire this time.

McQueen! Very proud! He has come so far through hard work

Queensland should adapt one of the bunnies plays where McQueen goes up high leaping for a kick at the try line and passes back. He would be the biggest leaper on the field no doubt.

Hannant should have been there instead of DCE. I like DCE and have no doubt he's up to the task if picked, but thats as a starter. this will be like the test match vs NZ all over for him....

only thing i can think of is that if qld need points they'll play cronk in that pseudo lock position he's played beofre and throw DCE into the game. but if you were going to do that you'd use barba.

Only if Josh Reynolds sits on the bench for 80 minutes again.

So I'm assuming they will run out as follows:

1. Slater
2. Boyd
3. Inglis
4. Hodges
5. Tate
6. Thurston
7. Cronk
8. Scott
9. Smith
10. Myles
11. McQueen
12. Thaiday
13. Parker

14. Te'o
15. Gillett
16. Papalii
17. DCE

I've structured the bench in the order as to how I think they'll be subbed on. Te'o for Myles, Gillett for Scott, Papalii for impact and DCE - maybe late in either half?

Parker starting at lock is a no-brainer. He's completely outplayed Harrison of late, but McQueen starting in the 2nd row is a big call, and no replacement prop is another head-scratcher.

That's a horrible forward pack and bench (besides including Papalii). They lost the forward battle easily in game 1 so they decide to go in with a weaker pack in game 2

Papa will drop some ball, bet on that but he'll bend the d line. One recognized prop though is baffling. I guess NSW aren't the biggest side either but yeah are props endangered species in rep games now a days?

ricky stuart had some limited success using a lot of backrowers and now it seems for some stupid reason Mal has bought into that idea. big men who can bend the line still get the team on the front foot. been that way same since day 1. whilst myles and thaiday can "play" prop neither overally excel at it are wasted to a greater extent

Perhaps they feel like Shillington and Harrison lack some aggression. They were totally out enthused in the first twenty of the NSW Game

Our forwards got dominated in game 1 and they do nothing to rectify this really

I'd pick Hannant on one leg over Te'o

Matt Scott played 57 mins in game 1. If he does the same in game 2 then Qld will play 20 mins of the match without a specialist prop on the field. I know Thaiday and Myles play some prop at their clubs but they are really 2nd rowers
