I'm not sure how it compares to previous years but I think there are only 3 teams who haven't had 40 put on them this year. Storm, Panthers, Eels. And Eels were very close (38).

I'm a Tigers supporter and I feel like I would be making excuses to blame the NRL if we cop another hiding. The top 3-4 teams have been well gelled for awhile and have either recruit well, produced good young talent and have good coaching or a mix of the 3. Tigers have been shit really for a decade with all 3 things so I know personally they have themselves to blame can't tell much about other clubs. I feel like some teams shouldn't be punished for being good cos the same rules apply to them. I say Rooster have an excuse considering they have had 4 season/career ending injuries but then play the Storm who also have injuries.

Nico Hynes caught a kick. Returned it 70m untouched to score. Storm turned a couple of mistakes into tries. Roosters kept making mistakes but had plenty of ball.

The issue atm is sides not defending errors. You turn ball over let in a try. Then have to kick off where you then give a penalty or 6 again. Having you back defending your line.

Not sure you can put rules into that

NSW Cup had a bye last week.
Now off for 2 weeks.

3 weeks between games.
On the back of no comp last year into a shortened pre- season

It’s a good point….

and maybe the lack of “second tier” football last year is an under-rated factor in what we are seeing this year…

With many injuries n suspensions… there are many players in the comp who basically played stuff all last year…possibly under-done this year, under-developed.
