Shadow, I have you on ignore which has been blissful but I thought for once I'd click "show ignored content" to see your comment.

When did I compare our current roster to 2014? I'm not denying our roster this year is not as good as back then.

I was simply comparing our playing style and game plan not the roster. We haven't evolved and changed our style at all which has hurt us.

I agree with you mate.
One thing that comes up time after time when the experts etc are talking on TV and radio is attitude, desire, hunger, motivation etc.
We dont have it at present.
We had it in 2014.
The blues had it on Wednesday night.
I'm starting to think Madge is the problem as much as I don't want to admit it.
I draw great analogies from my work life to sporting teams.
You may be able to relate where I'm coming from R20 as from memory I believe you work at woolies?
So do I mate and I'm in my 30th year there.
I've seen plenty of managers come and go in my time and it's amazing what a new manager for the store or dept will do.
Individuals that were not motivate are all of a sudden motivated.
And those that can't be turned around are often moved on to a new role or they decide to leave the business because all of a sudden they are being challenged in a different way.
Maybe Russ and Packer need to bite the bullet.

Despite our position on the table.... I still believe we have the players. They just need the right motivation or motivator.
I have to agree with you re Madge and I don't like saying it.

I've only been at Woolies 2yrs on Service. There are a couple of guys on here that try to harass me and make fun of the fact I work at Woolies. I don't let it get to me!!!!!

What dept are you????

I believe there are some deadweight players though that do need to go!!!!

A few of em need a rocket up em though to click themselves into order.

I've been reading through some of the comments on here and I think a lot of what you say is probably correct regarding Madge but the replacements aren't too appealing either! What if we just end up getting a coach that can't motivate the players anyway? It's such a big risk dumping Madge and finding a random coach. I would love a coach like Geoff Toovey or Laurie Daley though.

Madge is in unchartered waters as far as his head coaching Career goes.
He has only had one other head coach gig and that lasted 2 years before he took on the Souths head coaching role.
This is now his 6th year at the Rabbits.
He hasn't had to

Mate I'm in produce.
I've had exposure to all the depts a some point but am finding produce enjoyable and I actually am getting satisfaction out of work.
Previous to that I was Assistant store manager but after many years in that role decided to take Step back.
Best move I ever made.

It's obvious that Moral is down in the playing group. But is this all down to Madge? If it's not all madge then dropping a new coach into that environment isn't going to improve things.

If it isn't a result of Madge then he should be looking to remove whatever it is that is causing the poor attitude amongst the players. Team attitude is the difference between Nathan Brown still being employed at Newcastle and Jason Taylor getting the sack 4 weeks into a season. Team morale is everything.

One out of left field, hire an experienced bloke for a season or two to teach Sutton the ropes of coaching? He got his troops up and about as a captain.

I think diego's right though you can't just chuck anybody into the head coaching role. I don't know if there's anyone "experienced" enough on the open market to dig our team out of the ditch.

Rsag we have to be realistic.

Next season we are doomed again at this stage.

We could very well sink into much darker times next season.

We aren't attracting any players.

What we currently have is nearly two thirds of our squad that are deadweight. They just don't cut it as first graders.

Go for another club because it seems you and Shadow don't support the club in what they are trying to do or yet again stop being keyboard warriors and go to the clubs management and tell them about your dislikes for the current squad. Over it

What if what's causing moral problems is something that is out of maguires hands and something he has no control over

Coaches tend to live or die according to their results!!

Using that formula Madge would be long gone!

Apparently, GI's wife and kids have only moved to Brisbane because their house in Sydney is being renovated. Once complete they are moving back.

I'm enjoying a mid afternoon coffee with the family and I look around and think how blessed I am to have them in my life,my Rabbitohs coffee mug is always half full fellas.
I'm reading a lot of comments and no matter how ordinary things my be at the moment my mug is still half full for the team I love, for the coach and for the players.
I suggest a few of you guys view your mug the same way as your negativity reflects a ordinary life!
Go you "MIGHTY RABBITOHS"

I will keep saying it as it is!!!!

It seems I'm not the only one who has been saying this kind of thing in here lately!!!!!!!

You have to realise you are going to hear lots of different points of views on here. You're the one who needs to get over it!!!!!!!

Haha no. Obviously didn't watch his 2015 in NRL. Apart from that game when he made Goodwin look a goose he pretty much done nothing

What's the harm? New scenery, new coach. Give him 1yr contract. Only 22. A replacement for Nielsen. Unless you want to keep Nielsen?
