South Sydney half Luke Keary is off-contract at the end of the season and has refused to rule out leaving Redfern to chase another opportunity.

The 24-year-old won the 2014 premiership with the Rabbitohs, but has a history in rugby union and is believed to be on the radar of a number of NRL clubs.

As his options away from South Sydney expand, so does his asking price, with some reports emerging that it is now up around $800,000-per-season.

At yesterday's game, all Keary did was increase his chance of getting
$800k... playing Union in France.

I've never really got all the Keary hype
He is a good player but he is not a great player ( at least not yet)
You can't expect him to shine when our forwards get pummelled like yesterday

He went for the conservative approach yesterday and it wasn't until he used his natural skills in the second half that we actually scored points.

Exactly!!

Keary & Walker were the only two players that even looked like putting holes in the opposition's defence!

Doyen, Keary was ordinary yesterday up until a 10min period in the second half.

For the whole second half Cody was very very good.

Correct re missing Adam big time.

In the second half Cody actually was very good.

Our 2nd half was better as a team but still the halves didn't stand up and take control of the side.

Doyen said before the season started that he wanted Keary and Cody ahead of Reynolds, this idea is failing big time lucky for us we only have to wait until round 7 or 8 for the best halve in the club to return and to control the side again.

The only question is who is going to be partner him in the halves.

100%! reyno gives the team so much direction. keary and walker are similar players, and both are good five eighths, but aren't that good at being the dominate half - not yet anyway, and maybe never. they don't control the game as well as reynolds. i don't think there is much in it between keary and walker. i will say this though, if walker is happy with around $200,000 a year, and keary will only stay for $800,000 a year, then we should keep walker

And where is Reynolds--sitting in the grandstand;as usual!!

We'll see how long Adam lasts when he returns!! There's no guarantee AR is going to last 2 minutes!!

Considering how piss weak our forwards were the other night our halves did very well!!
