Raiders stand down Goodwin and Carney over club claims

I dont really give a flying f**k what raiders fans are in the mood for. This is a public forum. The grub with dried vomit on his arms should be sacked. You efforts to try and make an argument for his non sacking scream this very sentiment.

Wait a minute, I thought you replied to that post a few pages ago. You weren't talking to me the first time?

I was just backing up Victors point about star players and sackings.

Even if Todd did it, I don't give a sh*t. I hope he lies his ass off and gets away with it.

R Kelly pissed on a 14 year old girl, and I still listen to his music sometimes. Michael Jackson molested lil boys, but I still think Thriller is the bomb album.

I'm not trying to make an argument for his non sacking. I simply don't care if he did it. I only care about how he's gonna get out of this.

Whiz-kid Carney's contract won't be shredded but Goodwin's not so safe
Andrew Webster and Brad Walter | July 23, 2008
smh.com.au

Troubled Canberra halfback Todd Carney is expected to remain at the club despite allegations he urinated on a member of the public inside a Canberra nightclub.

The 22-year-old playmaker and teammate Bronx Goodwin were yesterday stood down indefinitely pending a police investigation into incidents at the All Bar Nun nightclub in the early hours of Monday morning. Goodwin is alleged to have assaulted two men outside the club after he and Carney were ejected after claims from a patron that Carney had urinated on him in the men's bathroom.

Raiders chief executive Don Furner refused to elaborate on the details of the police investigation. Nor would he speculate on whether Carney's four-year deal would be torn up after another alcohol-fuelled incident.

Last year, he was sentenced to 200 hours of community service and banned from driving until 2012 after pleading guilty to a litany of driving offences.

But the Herald understands the club is more livid at him than it is prepared to sack him.

There remains greater doubt about whether Goodwin - the son of former Dragons champion "Lord" Ted Goodwin - would be given as much leniency should he be charged by police.

"We are going to stand both Bronx and Todd Carney down," Furner said. "It's just the best thing we should do at the moment until they [the police] sort that out rather than have that hang over their heads while they're playing or picked."

Boogie-Down Bronx was outside whooping 2 dudes asses at once like only a good Raider can do. While Toddy was inside shaking the excess pee-pee of his diddle, and a couple of drops probably landed on the guys leather jacket next to him. Kinda unrelated Kiki. It's gonna suck for Bronxy, but the Raiders management has to treat them like seperate cases this time around. What they did last year with Irwin was wrong, but they can get away with it this time. It all depends on exactly how much piss Todd got on the guy next to him, and how he was aiming. You can unintentionally piss in the wrong direction especially when you're drunk. Toddy might of come in contact with a hot chick, cracked a fat and then made his way to the urinal. And all guys know how difficult it can be to take a slash when you've got a boner. Your piss can split into 2 or more streams and go all over the place. Plus you gotta bend it down, and then there's the pressure. It's gonna hit that porcelain quite a bit harder and may splash up and fly everywhere. This is what could of happened to Toddy. Let's just wait until the facts come out before we judge him. ;-)

Raiders said he was on his last chance after he got caught doing burnouts while drunk in Goulburn (which was a while before the time he got into a cop chase and bailed)
He is on his last chance, and if he ever gets caught doing burnouts while drunk in Goulburn again then he's gone. Now, of course, he'll be on his last chance for p!ssing on people as he is also on his last chance relating to high speed chases with cops.

you've had a few drinks, you get a little nudge... whoa, sorry about your shirt mate.

Is that what goes on in the men toilets :?

From what I hear Carney likes them older, ask his GF's mother  The bloke is so far up his own arse it's unbelievable.

I don't think there is any doubt in the world he p*ssed on a bloke, but it will all come down as to whether or not the bloke he p*ssed on ( Dane Tilse's relative ), will be able to be talked into shutting his mouth by Dane Tilse ( who himself was sacked from the Knights ).

Oh the irony.

That is all information from the reliable Daily Telegraph let us not forget. If I phoned them up and I said Carney was running around naked throwing sh*t at Parliament house they would probably print it.

Mate if the Canberra Raiders felt he had a chance of being completely innocent of this, he sure as hell would NOT be stood down from playing when their season is on the line.

They know what happened, even if we all don't.

Innocent of p*ssing on a bloke and ' won't be fired ' are kinda two different things and really are unrelated.

I think a talent like Todd Carney would have to be on a murder charge for the Raiders to cut ties with him.

There is a definite double standard shown between players with some talent, and players with superstar talent when it comes to getting the boot.

Dane Tilse is the best example of that.

Get rid of Carney...if the media is correct then he is an absolute moron of the highest order and deserves his contract to be terminated.
