We were doing it to Souths in the first 10 minutes, before we inexplicably started throwing stupid passes, and offloads, and the Bunnies made us pay.
I can explain it. The noise about our attack got into our heads and we tried too hard to prove people wrong. It was ill disciplined. I suspect this is why BA and Guth think it's an easy fix.

I agree with that, but can understand why others don't.

The other issue for mine is the lack of recognition of any of the good (of which there has been some) or the tendency to praise others for it and not acknowledge BA's role.

It's like you think he only has his hands on all the shit stuff and none of the good stuff which we know isn't true.

Anyway, I predict we will go back to basics and get some form back. I think we'll finish Top 4 I see us falling a game short of the GF. Would you view that as a failure?
If we can finish top 4 and make week 3 and push whoever we play it’s a good season and sets us up for next year.

Who knows it just may happen, the good thing is our form is just an easy fix so no problems whatsoever.

We just need to keep it simple - roll up the middle, bomb (or kick to the corner), and just bash teams out of the game.

We were doing it to Souths in the first 10 minutes, before we inexplicably started throwing stupid passes, and offloads, and the Bunnies made us pay.

Keep it simple - use our greatest advantage, our big, mobile, aggressive pack - to smash teams up.

BA basically said in the NRL 360 interview, that their increased focus on attack at training probably contributed to the shit performance - they just did what you said,

Yep, their problem was giving a f**k what people like hineyrulz think.

"wE sHoUlD bE pUtTiNg 50 oN tEaMs!!!"

We don't have the spine to convert every quick play-the-ball into a line break. But we do have the pack to turn a quick play-the-ball into a punishing 60 metre roll up field followed by a plenty of time for Moses to put in a great kick. That's who we are this year. We're not the Harlem Globetrotters.

Nearly anything could happen, so your 'predictions' are just guesses. Why not guess the best case scenario rather than the worst?
Nearly anything could happen, but it probably won’t. And it probably won’t be exciting but hopefully it will.

He seems to think it's possible for an NRL team to go into a game with a 0% chance of losing, but only for teams coached by 'good' coaches. More to the point, whenever we lose, the chance of it happening was 100%, and it's all the coach's fault. He doesn't understand probability, which is why he's a shit punter.
Anyone who punts is a shit punter. It’s called punting Duh!!

I can see where the next line of attack will be if we don't.

"BA said it was an easy fix and he couldn't even fix it. Sack the merkin".

He’s still here for 2 more years, we won’t be sacking anyone. I’d like to see the club do something about his assistants though.

May as well not turn up for training, eh?

I agree mate. I think that’s the most likely outcome.

Also agree on the assistants. Plenty of people can come in to cover his weaknesses.

Damn, the last time we agreed like this was when we both decided not to invite @Eelogical to Chardies.

Your clandestine meeting worked out well. One of you were banished to Canberra while the other threw big bickies on the Souths V Eels game and ended up shouting Chardie's patrons for a week.

What do you mean by we don’t have the spine to turn a quick play the ball into a line break? What sort of spine do you need for that?

I assessed every season over the last 14 years based on performances and posted it on here last week. It doesn't align with your ratings.

We have been a much improved team in the last 7 years compared to the 7 before that. That's irrefutable.
So how much more improved do we have to be to actually win the comp?

Anderson's win rate in his final two years was 49%, Hagan's was 51% and Smith's record in his final two seasons (actually a season and a half) was 54%. Arthur's recent (two year) record eclipses these. If you're going to judge a coach over two seasons (and plenty of merkins were happy to judge Kearney over that time) then there are few better than Arthur's.

2019-20
79% Bellamy
72% Robinson
65% Stuart
64% Arthur
64% Cleary
63% Bennett
51% Morris
50% Hasler
43% Maguire
38% Kearney
38% Seibold
35% Green
34% McGregor
33% Pay

The merkins under 40% all lost their jobs. Everyone else has so far kept theirs. Nobody will get the arse with a two year win rate above 60%. f**king no chance.
Means nothing, if we are straight out the back semis time!
