Why in the world would you think that one kicker is ever sustainable? Why do Matterson and Cartwright need to kick if we have Moses?

Drown did f**k all before he moved to centre. Did well on the kick chase for Russell's try (which he could've done from any position) but otherwise all the try assists on our left were from Moses, Gutherson and Lane.Jake has lots of potential and im ok for him to come on IF selected and needed but to slot in and not overplay his hand. Today he came on and started taking over. At one stage Mahoney pushed him aside and told him where to go and stand.
Moses should not be playing 2nd fiddle to him.
Cartwright for mine is a better option and provides better balance as he can play in the fwds and as a 6 or centre worst case scenario.
Jake plays 6 or 7 but too much disruption to the side...Dylan Brown literally went missing...
I don’t understand the argument in the first place. If Matterson went to centre instead of shuffling Brown to accomodate Jarthur then we’re in the exact same position in terms of kickers. Why in the world would you think that one kicker is ever sustainable?
Teams reshuffle their spine every time they bring on an interchange hooker, or bring Nico Hynes off the bench. It's not like they don't train for it.Matterson can fill in at centre if need be. He did it numerous times during the Roosters premiership run. The last thing you want to do is reshuffle your spine. Unless you desperately want your son on the field.
They went into their shells after they kept dropping the ball and the Titans scored. We couldn’t score a try the second half with over 60% of the ball, the first half we looked as smooth AF. We looked disjointed and clunky as f**k once Jakey boy came on.
ANYWAY. ITS ROUND 1 AND WE WON.
LETS NOT SLIT OUR WRISTS JUST YET.
But I want to!
Me too!
So you'd be happy enough to start next week with the same backline we finished today's game with? If anything, it sounds like Drown would be lucky to keep his spot in 1st grade from the way you've described his output today....Drown did f**k all before he moved to centre. Did well on the kick chase for Russell's try (which he could've done from any position) but otherwise all the try assists on our left were from Moses, Gutherson and Lane.
Are you telling Mahoney he can’t kick now? He’s leading the comp in 40/20s.Why in the world would you think that one kicker is ever sustainable?
It gave Moses more opportunities to run and get tackled on the fifth. Not sure if its been mentioned but to me it looked like Jrthur took the 7 jumper and everybody moved one out including Mitch. Wtf was Jrthur doing all the kicking?
Doesn't sound like a very likely edge case either. What if he sits on the bench and only comes on with five minutes to go and his team up by 20? Another dumb f**king question. Use some common sense.By that logic if a player has a shit game in a grand final and the game is decided by a completely unrelated incident then if said unrelated incident (eg a bomb) leads to a try then said player isn’t a liability but if it doesn’t then they are. That doesn’t seem like very sound logic to me.
No our attack turned to shit once the best back up half Jakey Boy came into the field. It looked as clunky and disjointed AF.They went into their shells after they kept dropping the ball and the Titans scored.
Bryce can out kick him. I've seen him kick a @Happy MEel 60m on the fly.Are you telling Mahoney he can’t kick now? He’s leading the comp in 40/20s.
I'm way more concerned about our defence in that game. Did you even watch what was happening, rummy? No our attack turned to shit once the best back up half Jakey Boy came into the field. It looked as clunky and disjointed AF.
Thanks for supporting my argument. I knew you’d see it my way after I clarified it for you.Doesn't sound like a very likely edge case either. What if he sits on the bench and only comes on with five minutes to go and his team up by 20? Another dumb f**king question. Use some common sense.
Then level it at BA?Nope. Just that nepotism shouldn’t be happening in a professional sporting club at the top level.
Jrthur has played 8 games so no his output isn’t judged the same as the guy whose played 10 times as many. When Will Smith overplayed his hand and stifled our attack as is his wont in season's past, most of us, if not all of us, were quick to crucify him and point out his frailties. Jake Arthur is being picked to play first grade and regardless of who his Dad is or how old he is, he should also be judged by his output. If he's not up to it, the coach needs to do something about it. He simply should not be put on the field to play in the halves again while our starting 6 and 7 are fit. If he is unable to fill in and plug a gap in any other position, then he should not be in the 17, simple.
If the chase was better it would've been. The commentators have to say something. The kick could've also been shorter and no higher and also had a lazy chase. There's plenty of variables. But if you're looking at one kick to put shit on a merkin who just helped close out a win it shows he wasn't bad.The kick wasn’t high enough. The commentators even said as much.
No I did not, only you and Pou watched the game apparently the rest of us have no idea.I'm way more concerned about our defence in that game. Did you even watch what was happening, rummy?
I reckon you’re doing rakija chasers now.ANYWAY. ITS ROUND 1 AND WE WON.
