If the chase was better it would've been. The commentators have to say something. The kick could've also been shorter and no higher and also had a lazy chase. There's plenty of variables. But if you're looking at one kick to put shit on a merkin who just helped close out a win it shows he wasn't bad.
I was responding to you saying he didn’t make any errors. I also said that he doesn’t contribute much atm with ball in hand so fans will be hypercritical of any mistakes he makes. It’s not about trying to put shit on anyone. It’s about being in touch with reality (which I don’t think you are at times).

Then level it at BA?
It is. Any time I'm bagging the selection of Jake Arthur it is a shot at BA. However, pointing out his complete lack of ability at a first grade level is also fair, just as it is at any other player who wants to be a professional footballer that plays first grade and isn't up to it. The kid shouldn't be out there because he doesn't have the necessary skills and disrupts the team too much. And yes it's his dad's fault for picking him.

Picking Jake Arthur before Nathan Brown, Cartwright, Greig and Rein is an abomination and to suggest anything else is a nonsense.

I don’t understand the argument in the first place. If Matterson went to centre instead of shuffling Brown to accomodate Jarthur then we’re in the exact same position in terms of kickers.
You don't want forwards defending at centre. Look how bad Niukore is when he plays there.

So you'd be happy enough to start next week with the same backline we finished today's game with? If anything, it sounds like Drown would be lucky to keep his spot in 1st grade from the way you've described his output today....
I would bring in Opacic and leave Arthur on the bench. Whoever comes in for Russell will have to play 80 minutes, and as you say, there is less reshuffling if the only change is Blake to the wing.

No our attack turned to shit once the best back up half Jakey Boy came into the field. It looked as clunky and disjointed AF.
Yeah just like our middle defence. Or are you still blaming Simonsson for all the overlaps we gave up on the right? Maybe that was Arthur's fault too?

I'm way more concerned about our defence in that game. Did you even watch what was happening, rummy?
Yep. Five tries in the bank and he's crying about our f**ken attack. The merkins needed to hold the ball and work hard in defence. They did neither until the second half.

Our defence was shit from the first min, we took the Tits likely and almost got burned. I think the coaching staff took them lightly with the bench picked and the fact Jakey boy got a make a wish foundation day out at the footy.

I don’t know how anyone could watch that and not think Simmonson jammed in too far on multiple occasions to give saloon passages to the opposition wingers.

Our biggest problem is our right edge defence. We keep trying to jam in and end up being exposed like some sort of chicken from somewhere.
It's been a problem for years, i'm just glad we are paying a head coach a lot of money to fix it.

Well if you watched the 2016 grand final you would've seen Chad Townsend did his job just fine. Your shit hypothetical didn't apply.
If Will Chambers had a brain and knew Cronk was unmarked on his inside and passed the ball (which would have lead to a certain Storm victory) then does that mean that Townsend didn’t do his job?

Well he didn't. A kick that is caught in the in goal isn't an error. It's a potential outcome every time you kick into the in goal.
I also said that he doesn’t contribute much atm with ball in hand so fans will be hypercritical of any mistakes he makes. It’s not about trying to put shit on anyone. It’s about being in touch with reality (which I don’t think you are at times).
He was brought on because we suffered a backline injury. Most teams struggle when that happens. Yet as usual the scapegoaters need to find someone to blame. Somehow it's always the backup's fault.
