You’re just playing semantics now. Regardless of how it’s recorded on the stat sheet you were referring to him not performing any actions that lead to an advantage to the opposition.
Does thinking that there were better options available to cover for the injury make you a scapegoater now?
I don't think there were any better options. Maybe Opacic? But then we would have no cover in the halves.

Somehow is winning was JA fault.. ,🤣

Simmonson isn't up to first grade as a winger and should be doing a better job.

Can't take a hit up his kick chase was non existent can he catch a bomb?

But yes all JA fault..

He can kick a little. But other then that Shaun Lane would offer as much.
For Jakes development he is better in NSW cup playing 80mins. Perfect for the kid. These short stints in NRL won't help him. He needs minutes.
The confusing thing is Jake dosent run the seconds either. Never did. Rankin does. Thats very obvious. The best move Id suggest would be to shift Rankin to fullback in the 2s and team Jake with Perham. That way it becomes Jakes team and we will then see if he can do the job or at worst develop into it. Handing him the reins in the 1s is not good for Jake or the NRL team. He needs time to develop.
That said he will probably be selected in the run on NRL team on Tuesday with everyone shifting out one just like today.

I wasn’t talking about players losing grand finals either. I was talking about assigning arbitrary criteria to a players conduciveness to win one regardless of whether they had any influence on the result or not.
Then I was talking about Chad Townsend being good enough to win a grand final. Why do you keep making up new hypotheticals that have nothing to do with that? Players losing grand finals don't apply and neither do players who won but had a shocker or won but only played 5 minutes. The reason I'm talking about Townsend is because he is comparable to Jake Arthur from a talent perspective.

And Bea's comment last year when Jakey got the key's to the first grade side when Moses was out was absolute BS, anyone watching reserve grade could see it was Rankins team. The bloke is doing literally everything he can to do or keep his son in the side, it's the worst kind of nepotism it's up there with Bozo picking his son or Chris Anderson picking his.

I would be bringing up Josh T from flegg to play fullback and Rankin to the bench with JA and Perham as halves.

Not sure why JA is the scapegoat, yeah his selection is another discussion but he wasn’t responsible for our poor performance..he did ok

we let 5 soft tries in …Papa was terrible defensively…Moses/Dylan both missed at least 4 tackles each, Gutho had a few errors…etc etc etc way to many errors, lack of respect …..

and yes JA had one poor kick, but mahoney did something similar but no mention……

And yeah it was a poor performance but bank the 2 and bring on the Sharks (hopefully with Marata replacing papa on the edge)…..

Doesn't cover the halves well enough. But on the upside you can use him even if there's no injuries. Pros and cons...
IMO he covers the halves as well as JA. He’s far more creative and with Moses and Reed both having solid kicking games, we don’t need a long kicking game from him if he needs to move into the halves. However, we wouldn’t need him to if we lose an outside back like we did today, as he can cover there. We can leave our first grader halves in their rightful position.

How long is a piece of string??? If a tree falls in the forest does anybody hear it??? The shit you post just to try and justify the blatant nepotism of the coach is always very exciting!!
Nope now I'm having a go at you for thinking it's the winger's fault when his edge is outnumbered. It happens to every winger on every team. The teams it happens to the least are the ones with a lot of toilers in the middle. That describes the Panthers but doesn't describe us. We are very big in the middle and our hooker plays long minutes. That means we struggle to make repeat efforts and push across in defence.

We have always struggled against teams that spreads the ball e.g. Souths and Manly.

This is the blueprint to beat us.

We are better against he structured Roman Army style teams rather than the unstructured ones.

Again, not sure what our defensive coach is drilling during training

Sorry if it’s been mentioned and I missed it, but in the presser a journo mentioned an incident between Nathan Brown and Jarryd Hayne. I didn’t hear any context or further details. Anyone heard?

You don’t seem to understand that winning a grand final by itself doesn’t tell you anything about your ability as a player. You might be a good player or you might have just been surrounded by really good team mates even if you’re a mug. Any NRL player playing in a grand final is potentially good enough to win one. Brad Arthur might name you (i.e Pou) on the bench and you could end up as a grand final winner despite never taking the field. That’s why it’s not always a very useful metric.

Genuinely sounds like a nothing story - they were together outside the Albion late at night, some road worker had a go a Hayne, Brown had words with the bloke, and nothing physical is said to have happened.

Well he didn't. A kick that is caught in the in goal isn't an error. It's a potential outcome every time you kick into the in goal.
He was brought on because we suffered a backline injury. Most teams struggle when that happens. Yet as usual the scapegoaters need to find someone to blame. Somehow it's always the backup's fault.
Here’s a tip, don’t kick in the in goal on the full and it’s not a potential outcome. It was a big f**k up and if his dad wasn’t the coach he’d get reamed at training this week for it.
