The thing that gets me is that Lane has been largely shit since 2022, and yet you listen to commentary they somehow don't see it. Even today they were going on about how he is such a presence on our left edge, or when he drops a simple pass they go on about how he doesn't drop those... Like open your f**king eyes merkins he does this shit week in week out.

Its not very often that any of the commentators (esp. the ex-players) put shit on a current player. Worst they might say is "he is out of form". Ennis is a classic at talking up players from whichever team is in front on the scoreboard at the time. Cronk is probably the one who gets closest to actually bagging a player directly.

I'm not sure about anything. It might be pea heartedness but I don't think NRL players are pea hearts. I think they just have different levels of endurance/stamina and we have a lot who are weak in this area.
