I'm starting to feel like Sivo's a liability. He might be our top tryscorer but he offers little else. It's amazing for the size of him. If you just looked at his stats you'd think it was Nathan Merritt. Today he made six hit ups for 35 metres. Last week it was six hit ups for 42 metres. Two tackle breaks in two weeks as well. Ferguson broke 7 tackles over the same period, with 175 metres just from hit ups.

If Sivo is a liability, what is Waqa Blake?

I hope so. We have a great squad on paper to match it with anyone but we could have easily lost so many of the games we’ve won if our luck went differently. It’s weird to say given we’ve only lost 2 games but I think we’re underachieving with the way we are falling over the line in games we should be winning easily.
With two inexperienced spine players and another one playing on one leg why should we be winning any games easily?

I think that’s pretty harsh. He has scored a lot of tries where he had to power over the top of defenders. We’ll find out where he’s at over the next few months.
Yeah, dont get me wrong, i think he has had plenty of good showings ... but i think he has always had some errors, brain farts and a bit of laziness in him - i just think people has glossed over his deficiencies cos he was scoring tries .... but that is probably the same for most wingers these days

We were stupid as f**k until we got to 14-12 and then we finally played smart footy which ultimately won us the game.......hopefully that is a lesson for them for the future.

I am not going to read too much into anything with that, those conditions were atrocious and you won't see them too often to worry too much about.

He has always been a liability ... the fickle thing is that everyone gut all lovey over him cos he scored a bunch of tries, half of which were just putting it over the line at the end of the backline
Well, he's our only winger who's scoring tries at this point in time. Let's f**k last year's leading try scorer off for some safer, mediocre numpty who'll probably want more dollars just to catch and score.

The more I think on Waqa the more annoyed I get. Wasn't he meant to smash in open space? Wasn't he meant to be a finisher or get it to Fergo to ensure a finish?

There are worse players to be in that position I'm sure, but, I am really struggling hard to remember when her came up with a moment where it mattered critically to the game.

I do feel I remember times he gave me a heart attack though in some dumb play.

Because the team we put on the park is generally superior across the paddock compared to the opposition in most games. You don’t have to take my word for it. Look at the bookies odds to see what punters think *should” be happening. Do you think we’re only a 2 point better side than the Bulldogs and Sharks?

Sivo is not a liability. He's an asset. Conditions didnt suit him today. Agree he should've run and not kicked when that break was made plus he only needs to touch the ball in the in goal instead of trying to pick it up to score...that ball was not bouncing it was sliding..
We are playing a little bit off but yet winning.
Would people prefer we were playing really good and losing?
Do we know how to use the challenge???
There was 3 times we could've used it and won..
My biggest concern at the moment is that the right side attack is completely non existent.
The ball never looks like going through the hands to Fergo. They seem either too flat, standing still doing the catch and pass or just not setup for Fergo to receive in an attacking position.
Left side attack most times looks pretty good...
Defence is where its at...

Waqa has been with us for a while now, and.. I just don't see it.
We have won 17 from 22 with him in the team. He also turned the Panthers game single-handedly. He hasn't stopped us winning and might even be a big game specialist. His finals record is 60%, which is better than everyone in our team except Matterson (80%). Ray Stone has won 100% of finals matches but I don't think one 28 minute appearance is a reliable sample.

Fair. It still doesn't sit right with me. Like I feel Gennings feels more threatening with the ball over Waqness.
