Rd14: Eels v Bulldogs GAME DAY THREAD @ Accor Stadium 13/6/22

It's one big game where Melbourne shat themselves. They'd done it before (40-0) and they've done it since. Cleary happened to be the beneficiary that day. It absolutely ruined a grand final and let Manly win another one f**k his eyes
Funny how they never seem to shit themselves against us in big games.
I'm sure they're not intending to drop games against the shit sides. They just think they're too good to stick to the gameplan and bash the weak teams. They literally avoid the collision.
It’s a bad gameplan then isn’t it? I think a lot of fans on here have been saying it for years. I don’t feel like the tools at our disposal are being well utilised. Apart from the Knights and Dragons games this season we haven’t been convincing at all. Of course then you’ll tell us that we deserved to be knocked out in week 2 because our for and against wasn’t great when it should have been better but we clowned against the nuffy teams for most of the season.

Its been a problem for a while and shouldve been fixed earlier in the season.
There isn't really a fix for attitude problems. They play poorly and for the next few weeks they play well. Whatever happened appears to have worked until next time they don't turn up. They aren't computers, they are human beings. There's only so much a manager/coach can do. The fix involves removing personalities from the group and bringing in new ones.

But can we trust/believe what you post about your thoughts, when you bore the shit out of everyone in game threads with brainless trolling repetitive nonsense win lose or draw?
Well there's a bunch of stupid, nasty merkins on here whose opinions I don't really care about. If you don't trust what I say I don't care if you feel ridiculed or trolled. I'm posting for the other half dozen, really. Those are the opinions I care about. Personally I think you're the biggest troll on here, ever since you posted about stalking my family on Facebook. You could've kept that to yourself, so who's the troll?

It's a small sample. They've hardly shat themselves against anyone over the past decade. If we were one such team it would be an outlier.

No because it suits our roster. When we've won we've followed the game plan and when we've lost games we should've won we clearly went away from it.

Well he never had us chasing the collisions and front loading our washing machines every single week. He had his flaws as a coach but tactics wasn't one of them.
I think people talk about how he had a master game plan each week and was a master tactician but can't really explain what they mean by that.

He was a good coach but time was up.
Yesterday loss wasn't a concern cause we lost. It was the extent on how we lost. At 16-0 we had the whole 2nd half to fight back and we did the opposite. Huge worry we didn't fight back and atleast get close.
We must beat the Roosters this week and forget about last week's loss. Unsure how it happend. A win will move us on.

Was at a sports bar down here in the Illawarra watching the game with a mate (also eels fan)
Funnily enough there was a lot more dogs supporters around than Eels ones. Which added further to the embarrassment (and loud laughter their end) as the tries kept coming

*sigh*

Already got tickets to the Roosters game, and taking a few Roosters mates.
Any realistic and plausible ways to abort ?

The only positive (said with zero confidence) is this Dogs game is the Manly flogging of last year and it will snap us into gear. Top 4 will be lost if we don’t pull our finger out , hopefully this dogs loss will drive us (again zero confidence )

Anyhow , back to the Socceroos game

Do you care about my opinion? 🥰

In fairness, Paul Carige was a once in a generation leader.

I heard QLD doesn't have much juice left. As in Electrical power and you can't turn too many appliances on at once lol.
I'm here running my Air con, TV and fan. Might even boil the jug soon and also make some toast. All at the same time.

The issue is that the core business of the organisation (playing NRL) is also not neccessarily impacting the governance of the business, which is ultimately what all those useless f**kers are here for.

In reality the board also realises that it is also probably corporately irresponsible to remove the one person that would easily know 100 times more about the core business than the entire board and management of the organisation combined.

It's a strange corporate setup. Basically the Head Coach is the one with all the corporate knowledge of the core business of the organisation, and the board and management are complete amateurs of the core business of the entire industry. Just bizarre circumstances that you would struggle to see in any other industry.
It’s exactly the same in most industries. The supervisory board is there for governance and the CEO (which in this case is the coach) and their leadership team have the corporate knowledge.
The difference here is, in most circumstances, the supervisory board would punt the CEO after 1 underperforming year.
