On the reds....Yep so do I, reckon tonight showed we are in this comp.

we have points, the key is staying in the game (completing sets)/defence and we showed both tonight.......with plenty of improvement still possible
I watched the grand finals, 84 and 86. That's how you build pressure and that's what we should do more of

My worry would of been a 20 points smashing.
We where close to two tries. 3 if Opacic take that intercept.
Amd if Gutherson doesn't throw that stupid ball before halftime we are in attack.

Yeah, he was the best. I loved how we were underdogs and his game plan would win us the games
My best years of watching this team was during the Brian Smith years, and I have been a fan since 1981. I even praise B.Smith for the 09 GF, cause it was really an outcome of his structures that he put in place.

We should give rankin a go. Stick Blake on wing to replace the duster and dyl to centre with opa back to the left

We all get the team we deserve and you merkins deserve Moses.....what a fraudulent human

A good game. Parra where a bit off tonight and didn't play much footy. I'd go into a finals game after watching that worried if I where you guys tbh. Cleary is a huge out but so is Mahoney.
I expected Oenrith to win 20+

Storm will blow the arse end out of both sides imo.

The storm weren't that good but they just have this knack to score tries after tries

You need to start to watch the games without blue and gold glasses.

We have plenty of deficiencies. Until we sort those out winning Finals matches will still allude us.
If tonight is how we are going to attack the top teams in the finals it will be another case of out the back door. I wonder if anything will change??? Weve BEeN iN the ToP 4 tHe LaSt 2 SeAsOnS.........

Not when it's mattered we haven't...........

Luai seemed to be limping most of the game. Probably still gets the 7 jersey for the Blues over Mitch though.
And you answered your own question. We couldn’t put the Premiership favourites to the sword when they were without the best player & we had them up against the wall.
Not so much pretenders as just not real contenders.

Oh, for sure - Moses is nowhere near Origin calibre.

We also were missing one of our best players in Mahoney, was my point - arguably, the foem hooker of the comp before his injury.

I'm pretty happy with that performance - it always sucks to lose, but we really took it to Penrith.

Tbh, I hate this power, effort based game.

It's Good against the crappier teams but not against the better ones as they are fitter and pressure us more and make our blokes more tired as someone posted why lane and papa let in the tries

Melbourne and Penrith use the defensive tactic of holding attackers up and dragging them back. They do it most tackles. Provides a huge advantage time wise and not having to retreat as far. Our Eels never do this except occasionally trying to force a player back in goal. Many other teams don't do it either.
Players like Dunster don't work well with BAs game plan.
Ice is going to be ruined if his workload is maintained.
It's an exhausting game plan which given our run home probably isn't sustainable.
Proud of our boys and the conditions probably didn't help but our intent in attack must change to take the next step. Bring on game next.

Why do you think he’s nowhere near origin caliber? He’s the most talented half in the comp after Cleary. His long kicking game playing off the back foot kept us in the game.

That ball you had in the first 40, if Moses could play you were up by 20+ and the game is over. He's truly a mental midget
