His presser said it all for me, we just needed to win one more game. Really Brad??? Happy to slip into 8th??? Which means you are absolutely no chance to win a comp from back there. I'll keep saying it the standards at this club are absolutely embarrassing.
We should be aiming for Top 2 and two home finals at Commbank.

Top 2 you basically have one foot in the Prelim final/Grand Final.

Yup

And lets not extend BA for 2 years if we have a good start to the year in 2024

Review or punted mid 2025, pending what happens next 18 months

wish we played Penrith every week
I think it shows me something is seriously wrong with the preparation before each game.

Souths and both Penrith games we started as heavy outsiders and all 3 games come off at least 2 losses straight so basically out of form against a red-hot side on top of the ladder.

We bring the intensity we should be playing with 75/80% of the time and look what happens.

Not 40/50% of the time. Especially against weaker opponents where we rock up with a sunday stroll mindset.

Forget the junk time in last 10 mins our D last night was outstanding and its all about attitude.

agreed

what really pisses me off is the fact that we showed what we can do, and we beat the Panthers without Mitch, who'd have picked that

so frustrating

Driving the clubs standards and motivating the players isn't the coaches job though mate. Not sure who's responsible but it's definitely not the coaches.

I would have thought that our golden point grindr win vs Pennys after Chin Boy hit the clutch of the year, was our best win of the year ?

For me our win against Souths was our best. It kinda got our season going.
Penrith had to many out and a game that didn't matter for us so we threw it around.

I’m just going off each teams best 17. I’d agree they all have superior 9s. Roosters and Souths have superior outside backs and I’d say we’re about equal with the Cowboys. Our forwards collectively made the 2nd most metres/post contact metres this season so I’d say we have all those teams covered. Cowboys have a pretty good bench but I’d say ours is pretty decent now as well and easily covers both the Roosters and Souths.
We're talking about rosters on paper, so on field stats from this season are irrelevant when also comparing teams who have had shit seasons.

Whilst you might get more outta Drown at fullback, you lose more than you gain by playing Gutho at centre. The King is not an 800k odd centre. But he is one of the Best fullbacks in the game.

What we need is for Drown to live up to his potential at 5/8, it isn't the position that is holding him back.

I don’t think Brown will live up to his potential. He floats in and out of games.

needed to win a couple of those close games that were decided on goal kicking (Storm, Sharks, Manly, Titans) and a couple of those big games where the team didn't show up (Storm, Cowboys, Brisbane, Roosters)

Need football smarts to win those close games even when not playing great and need good prep/belief to be up for the big games and stay in them
