Hard to judge this game. Had we not had 2 x sin bins and taken the 2 points do we win?
But at sametime they had no Teddy,Manu,Crighton,Watson,Lodge,Tomenua,N.Brown to enter.

We did have Lane and Jnr out.

The possitive are we tried till the 80th minute.

Also the following guys we've seen now can handle NRL

Grieg,Hands,Bryce,Doorey, Hopgood.

We do know Murchie is also average and needs to join Moimesea.

Penisni was our best with Bryce tonight and Guth. Those 3 where excellent.

Hodgsons time is up. Hands is a bigger body and looks fit and tough. Only a fool wouldn't start him next week. Waqa also has to be dropped. Only a fool wouldn't drop him next week.

It is a new side and we need time to gel. But let's not waste to much time with Waqa and Hodgson. Let Hodgson have 30 mins off the bench.

Considering we played 20 mins with 12 men I think we did quite well.
Sivo was soft and horrible.
Wiremu Greig was impressive and should be a mainstay in the 17.
I also thought the ref and bunker were very ordinary. They got all the fkn calls.
Hands needs to be on the field more. His passing game is excellent and good line speed.
How penisini was binned is a fkn disgrace. We definitely lack hitups from the wingers.
Our kick chase is shithouse hence the keary the rat try. Fk thurs night footy

This was a hard game to watch.
I understand we scored a couple of late ones but I turned it off after Keary got his second.

So frustrating when nothing is going your way and players making dumb decisions to make it worse.
We are a better team than that. There was a lot of effort but some crucial mistakes killed us.

I hope we aim up next week. Last year we went into the Easter Monday game against a tigers side that hadn’t won a game. Very likely that will be the case again. We lost last time. We need to win this time to put this horrid first 5 weeks (apart from one game) behind us and build up some momentum.

Agree with all of this but you can’t include Penisini in our best when he gives away a professional foul for 10 in the bin and misses a blatant tackle that leads to a try. He had some very good touches but those two blemishes could have been the difference.

Wow. U finally saw the light with waqa. He doesn't know how to draw and pass, just gives it to sivo with so many defenders.

Hands is fit according to tct. In the preseason, he was always 1 or 2 in terms of fitness until guth came.

I really would have hands, Dunster and russell in the team now

The roosters were better in the ruck tonight led by cheese feet. I was prepared to give Hodgo a few games but he has to go. Hands looks much better so far.
The other glaringly obvious issue is our outside backs. When you compare our outside backs to the roosters, the only player who would make the roosters team would be Penisini over Hutchinson
