John Grant in the Herald is a good read, especially if between the lines is your forte. As long as he
paces and never gallops he'll go the distance needed to remove the medieval shackles from the game.

What better reason for the Roosters to relocate than remove them from the den of iniquity that turns
players into criminals. All jokes aside, what else is there to do in the godforsaken suburbs of Eastern
Sydney but get into trouble. Most Rooster supporters haven't even visited the joint and it's better that
they don't.

Inu tells us he was just doing his best and the right thing for the team. He also says Dessie has won
grand finals and has a smart footy brain. Hasler will need that and a magic wand to snap Inu out of his
divine trances.

Let's see if Anasta gets into strife for jumping up and down at referee Robinson. He does have a point
when it appears the Roosters must have killed a Chinaman when it comes to penalties. Maybe it is
time they got the rub of the green as do Manly. Even if I think the Roosters can only play ad-lib footy I
still don't agree with an obvious weekly bias against them with penalties that count.

Gagai staying in League is great news and that he is going to Bennett is great news. Benny's maiden
voyage on HMS Newcastle started off with all the fanfare of Titanic and next season it will be interesting
to see who has found a seat in the lifeboat . . . he's certainly got an interesting crew.

Love the way Inglis leaves rednecks sucking on their thumbs. The only thing this great player has done
to earn the ire of wankers is to take the right advice on how he should plan an unfortunately for us, short career.
Can just imagine the chimpanzee brains ticking over when Greg says he is waiting for clarification of the bargaining agreement.

Eight clubs want Jennings and one doesn't need him . . . sounds like a no brainer to me.

The Tele has announced the new sport of knocking off your best mate's missus incorporated in Rugby
League. Unsure how points are to be allocated but if there's more than one runner a playoff could be
arranged as part of the gf mardis gras. The only rule is that a player must get caught doing it . . .
hang on, how long since ET played?

Geoff Carr has said publicly that Stuart will continue to be NSW coach next year even if he can't win this series.
First they give the best coach in the game 3 years and now they might give the biggest crybaby 3 years and all
that's left after that is to book god for the 3 after that. Wonder does it ever cross the mind of the Boo Hoos to tell
Stuart he's got the the job for ten years so there's no need for any histrionics . . . just concentrate on building a
team that can match the best there ever was. The Q team was not found in a pot of gold, it was developed rationally.

Bit of a furore over the money paid Origin stars it seems. Can't use keeping the game on an even keel as a pisspoor
excuse for underpaying these blokes. Maybe clubs like Melbourne should charge the NRL for use of their players on
top of the players' wages . . . after all, the NRL don't give a shit how much effort goes into producing a star player.
Seems a special player isn't allowed to be rewarded by his club or his state.

Luke Lewis says he wants to wait to see how the team is travelling in the next 6-8 weeks before committing himself
to anything. He'd be far better advised to look at how they went in the last 3 instead of waiting to see how much his
disregard for harmony is going to interfere with the next 6-8.

Love the proposed advertisement for Shark energy drinks. They could have picked a bloke that didn't look so much like ET though

Purtell on the mend is good news. Frightening when you think you're tough and reality deals a blow . . . twice for me now.

Gallop standing beside a wide open gate and not a pony in sight. The absentminded dumb look on his face tells us he has
once again been got the better of by common sense. He tries to conjour up AFL ghouls and goblins to camouflage his
incompetency but sooner or later god is going to punish him.

The journos fascinate me with their inopportune timing. Ben Barba is on the verge of being bulldozed by Inglis and all
they want to do is put more pressure on the bloke. Would be far better to see how he handles the biggest hurdle he's
going to meet this year and then find some way of rebuilding his confidence afterwards.

Another Gallop great. He says the loyalty fund is to reward players who stay loyal to the game. The best loyalty fund is
the one a club CEO banks offshore for a player after he finishes a one club career. To expect players to cop the shit money
for the effort in Origin is ludicrous.

Dugan to 5/8 seems to be an overreaction to a lack of direction in the halves. As the rags say his fragile body will be tested
by the Tiger forwards and better to have a casual fullback than another broken 5/8. I must have missed detecting an above
average footy brain in Dugan as well. I would have thought impulse was his go and the Raiders already have that in McCrone.

Shit, almost forgot Mattai the dog. By my logic I should be a fan of Manly. A coach that could be great, one club players and an
indication that bringing in promising juniors instead of poaching star players from other clubs ticks all the boxes. Unfortunately
I can't stomach Matai. Seen too many peabrains on the street like him over the years, Run in with a king hit but stay down after
the first punch crying like a pup. On the offchance he can or does read this forum I reckon you are filth personified . . . I'll discuss
it with you anytime

Brad Fittler has the ear of Gallop
Politis understandly imo upset with referees
Fittler owes Nick more than we know
Harrigan ignores pleas from Roosters
Gallop again led around by the nose

Wonder could I make that rhyme

Don't write the kid off too early Pops. He has heart. I used too relish the opportunity of cutting down some c#nt who was bigger than me on the paddock. If I was Barba I'd throw the 'modern game' out the window and just chop his legs off. f**k the possible offload, let some forward hit him and wrap him up above the waist and take care of that.

I actually forgot all about this match-up, definitely going to go out of my way to watch this game now, cheers!

You know by now I'm a believer anyone playing NRL has talent. I would have no more reason to write him
off than I would Bowen but Ben still has a way to go to match Matty. Neither could hope to stop an Inglis
offload just as Inglis could never hope to stop either of these blokes one on one with the width of the field
at their disposal. Inglis's biggest advantage is he doesn't need protection

Looks as though the scribes are going to make sure no-one misses this opportunity to march Harrigan.
Never mind that an Origin game which was never going to be lost by Q is the excuse but more
importantly Harrigan needs to go because he appears irreproachable. Can't remember why Finch went
but the referees say he was better. As long as the press runs NSW League the team will have to carry
around a ball and chain that Q don't have to contend with.

Jamie Lyon is a man after my own heart. Put shit on this bloke and be prepared for the consequences.
Whether right or wrong he is not prepared to be judged by anyone who doesn't take the time to know
him. Brian Smith learnt the hard way, the NRL learnt the hard way and now NSW supporters are
learning it the hard way.

Looks like the press might give their blessing to Cleary. Suppose the imposing figure of Jabba standing
behind him might have frightened them off like a lion would hyenas? Either way you look at it Cleary
is not a teary eyed type nor does he wear his heart on his sleeve. For him to do anything different than
what got him where he is would be suicide. Anyone who f**ks with his plans will go or he will and I
tips me hat to the bloke.

Western Sydney councils are whinging about Gallop's lack of attention or at least his failure to
represent the face of League in grass roots areas. Nothing compared to the damage his lack of
attention is causing in the real heartland, west of the divide. Union is making inroads without the
opposition it deserves and AFL won't be far behind.
