Looks tough as nails, runs hard, runs a good line also. An honest 1st grader who should add even more depth to Easts pack. Definitely wouldn't look out of place in their 17.

To be fair a lot of the teams he is making big breaks against in that clip are teams like Wakefield, Salford, Widnes and London. Teams equivalent to our NSW cup sided

natheel says they are NSW Cup standard so obviously Wakefield, Salford, Widnes and London are the 4 best teams in the world

So I come in here pretty much backing your claim that people shouldn't get too excited and you take a shit on my comment good one.

Super league is very lop sided in good sides compared to shit sides.

Mate I'm nowhere near like BM. But keep telling yourself that if it helps you somewhat feel Eastwood will have a decent season because I was off on one of my predictions to do with eases for 2013. Get over it

Everything you said about Easts in 2013 was wrong

---------------------

If this nuffy Casty doesn't aim up in 2014 then we are f**ked. Lost Kennedy, Lost O'Donnell and down to three inexperience yet huge potential props, JWH and Moa. Having depth in this position is what kept our season from falling apart at the business end.

If 1 or 2 of them get injured and Casty is playing like a bum for Newtown we'll be down to playing FPN at prop or even worse Arona if he stays. Even absolute bottom of the barrel depth players from Newtown have left

Casty will be bench depth at best for the Roosters.

he doesn't have the endurance for Superleague as a starting prop week in-week out, so he's only going to be good with bench time, maybe 2 stints of 20mins etc

He's aggressive though, needs to lead with his shoulders a bit more in defence as he can tend to be a grabber as he tires during a game. Not afraid of the collision when hitting the ball up, low centre of gravity so he is capable of pushing through the line a fair bit.

That is based on my impression of him based on last years games. As he gets older and plays in winter, he may have less impact than he did for Catalans in his first 6 months.

If you watched closely you would have noticed that Remi was breaking the line against top clubs like Leeds and St Helens. In fact he split the St Helens defence wide open.

He is a very good buy. Only ignorant teenage imbeciles like TT would think otherwise.

Word is that Remi Casty is doing well at training. The players like him. The coach likes him.

Remi will definitely be coming off the bench in the regular season, and starting if either JWH or Sam Moa are injured or suspended.

Casty went alright actually. He tore in when he came on, ran hard, tackled hard, can't ask for much more in his first hit out.

I want to see how he handles the big lol @ souffs pack come round 1. That will test hi mettle.

Chook.

I don't want to be pedantic, but AR's signature says RC will be the only player to have Sam Tomkins number

As Sam Tomkins plays fullback is Remi going to replace Mini and wear the number one this year? Plus are all other fullbacks in the competition going to wear different numbers than number one?

I for one am all for it - NRL innovation

Maybe he's talking about his telephone number.

Maybe he's talking about his telephone number.

That is one valid interpretation.

But there is an expression "he's got your number," which means "he has sized you up" or "he knows your methods or modus operandi." That was the main meaning that I had intended, since Casty has played against Tomkins several times in the European Super League (not the imaginary English Super League that Phil Gould keeps refering to). Casty may well also have Tomkins phone number, though I doubt it. Tomkins' former Wigan team mates in Australia, Lee Mossop at Parramatta and Pat Richards at Wests Tigers, will certainly have Tomkins' telephone number.

I certainly was not intending a reference to the number of the jersey each player wears.

Tbh the French attack was just woeful. Serious coaching issues there by the looks of it, because individually the players are fairly talented.

You are right. Coaching has been a problem for the French national team, which has employed has beens (John Monie) or inexperienced and questionable quality (Bobby Goulding) or just mediocre quality (Richard Agar).

Trent Robinson showed the importance of the coach when he lifted Catalans from last to 4th, after the disastrous coaching reign of Kevin Walters. Now that Trent has gone the Catalans have slipped to 7th in the ESL.

Had he stayed in France Trent would have been a great coach for the French national team.
