Just shows how much the League/Union divide still exists in the land of the big brown potato. The day of the match and the Limerick Post has still never mentioned the World Cup but has 3 large stories on the Munster Rugby team and its front page is about Limerick University commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Night of the Broken Glass.
That is quite a good effort. The Irish media have been doing all they can to ignore the tournament. Bloody stupid when you think of the tourism they could attract in a country that is going backwards. There is a small story in the Limerick Leader but most of the sport stories are on horse-racing and Hurling.

Growing up in northern Ireland I had friends who where deadset against league for no reason I could fathom and they were not posh gits either.
That's like South Africans. I know a lot of South African surfers, most of them say they hate RL- dig a bit deeper and ask them why and the response you generally get is :-k
It's been drilled into them, they don't even know why they think that way. A few of the Saffas I know who have spent a lot of time here like RL now- SA is a market worth chipping away at in the future.
Who is Les Muir and why is he allowed to talk?
The only way I'll see it is if you post it, I don't use news limited sites if possible, but defo the terror. Filled with hateful drunken merkins making money rubbishing a sport they're supposed to cover.
Yes very much anti-league here at the moment. I've seen one poster for the game and that's in the hotel I'm staying in. Most people don't seem to know it's on.
I took a look at the Irish Times website http://www.irishtimes.com/sport and found not one mention on the game being played.
