Honestly think we'll win this one
Roosters start the year poor. Usually early rounds are low scoring. So scoring 20 odd points only might be enough

Some do. Most would pick say Burns to cover the role. Backup 9 is more important
Ain't saying its right, its just a trend.

Brad Takairangi
Kerrod Holland
Michael Oldfield
Brian Kelly
Jamayne Issako
Alex Johnston
Stephen Crichton
At a glance I count 7 outside backs, almost half the teams in the competition. Some like Takairangi have the frame to play back row. I'd still agree 9/spine cover is more important. Its easier to find a backrower/centre than a backrower/hooker so guys like May are more ideal.
In a way I prefer it because it means Luai will actually get 80 minutes. Debate on the 6 aside I think the spine shouldn't be f**ked with, they can all play 80 minutes. Korisau has no competition for his spot this weekend and any first grade hooker of his experience should be able to get through a full game.

Mansour was never being moved. That was a rumour that originated here from people saying he should be given a run in the forwards.I keep hearing that Mansour is moving into another position, if not in the outside backs, does he cover Api for a 15min break? Ivan did float josh reynolds there around at the tigers there before his injuries, it makes sense to me why Stephen Crichton is on the bench, and not Burton. And Fish is purely on the bench due to his pec injury, theyd want to ease him on, give him the easier 60min run, he'll come on 20mins later in wherever Ivan needs him, as he can play Prop, 2nd row and Lock, perfect sub and impact player, the other 2 benchies are just props, if mansour is moved to 9 for a spell, then the list makes sense, otherwise????
Mansour in a hooker for a spell, is technically a forward.Pretty sure being able to pass is a crucial requirement for a hooker, Sauce can’t pass.
Sauce can pass, he is usually on the receiving end of a forward pass
Well if that is the run on side, with no changes, its a good chance that might be the idea, until kenny or may are availableNah his passing skills are well below average

You'd at least give him a run there in reserve grade or trial games, not against the back to back premiers. Is it possible one of the outside backs are in doubt? Or maybe Ivan is considering a little "workload management"There's no chance at all that Mansour plays hooker ever. If that 1 - 17 is correct it means Crichton is most likely getting a short stint at fullback with the rest of the spine playing 80 minutes.
Yep people are making this way more complicated then what it probably is. I think Api will play 80. Cleary likely just wants to cover the outside backs & picked the next in line. He obviously thinks the pack has the fitness to allow a back on the bench, much like when Hook hardly used/needed his 4th bench spot.
After the team was announced I just assumed Api will play 80.
Crichton makes sense on the bench as there's a 50% chance one of our outside backs will need to be hooked mid game.
