Did you expect that the last place team would challenge a team on a 9-0 streak ?

We played good footy and 50 mins and need to learn from that.

I'll leave the whining to you.

Well said. There is a lot more to be gained by looking for positives. P.S That photo looks like a gentleman who sits at the end of my row in Bay 25 with a group of refined ladies.

Obviously Arthur's shocking coaching is not the sole reason the players that were out there need to take some of the blame too it was shocking the way they were falling off tackles coach can't help that.
But his use of the interchange I think contributed greatly to our very tired defensive line, you win very few football games playing with 15 men!

I doubt that the percentages would be good for teams that only use 16 men either let alone 15. I agree that BA f**ked this up but the last thing I want to see is for our coaching merry go round to go on and on.

All comes down to coaching, he voices the team, he picks the conditioning, he picks the tactics, he teaches defender, all falls on him.

He will be out and hopefully so at the end of the year

Here we go again. FMD

Mate, we were up by 30-6. Simple.
We lost. 30 - 36. Simple.
No excuses will cut it.
It was embarrassing.
It was inept.
It was pathetic.

Suity

Yes those 12 minutes were utterly inept, embarrassing and pathetic. In this round though only the Roosters and us lost by a 6 point margin, which was the narrowest margin of the weekend. The Sea Eagles lost by 34, Panthers by 20, Knights by 22, Warriors by 32 etc. Personally I would be more embarrassed by those scorelines.
As soon as Hayne screwed us for the year I was resolved to not expecting much and I'm still not. Will next year be different? Probably not. Some other shit will probably hit the fan like us sacking our coach. This is Parramatta.

Was it brandy who had a go at Sandow for that silly mini grubber to himself?
i think he said something lime 'Sandow needs to stick to the game plan'. I looked at the clock and noticed 25 left and thought uh oh, we switched off.

When we took the 2 points to go 24 up, my mate was saying we should have tapped it and gone for more points... I made the point to him that we had just had 2 sets at them in their 20 and both times Sandow came up with dud kicks on the last, so I was OK with the call to take 2 points and start again...

And that's Sandow for you... First half, he let Corey do a lot of the kicking to the corners, and he followed the game plan... 2nd half, he threw the game plan out the window and wanted to play flashy... Even inside the last 10 minutes when we were chasing the game, he goes for the chip and chase for himself, absolutely zero thought to roll it in to the in goal and try and get a repeat set...

Also - Our back 3 are relying too heavily on Semi to do the donkey work.. they are always looking to lay it off to Semi and let him take the kick returns, ruck it out etc.... 30-6 up, Cowboys kick to the air, Hoppa catches it in goal, hard work done, then he runs to the 20, taps it, passes to Semi who had been busting his gut to that point, to take the hit up. Semi drops it and 12 minutes from that point we are down by 6 points... Morgan, Robinson and to a lesser extent Hoppa, need to shoulder some of that work load...

I gave us a small chance, but when you are up by 24 with less than 30mins you should never lose. heaven help us if the players have the same awwww shucks we gave it a good college try but those chaps were just too good for us attitude that you do. They should be embarrassed and humiliated. And we should be looking to put the cleaners through Melbourne next week. Instead I await the list of excuses trotted out when we fail to win another must win game.

Failure and Mediocrity should never been accepted but they readily accepted at this club. I'm sick of the excuses it about time we see some results. If that makes me a troll so be it.

You are such a troll Hiney expecting us to retain a 24 point lead with 30 minutes to go.

Sarcasm does you both no favours.

We led the form team buy 30 - that's a great effort.

OK we fell away and that's a problem. We dropped in intensity and let them back in. Needs to be fixed.

I'm ignorant to the true cause of our clubs mental weakness over the past 15 years. Having said that, I don't think that Luke Burt is the guy we need standing behind the goal line with the boys whilst we implode once again.

Not many acknowledging that a team with two Kangaroo props, the best player in the world and a wrecking ball called Toumolololouolo got their act together and showed why they are premiership favs.

Not many have listed the possession stats in the last 25 mins. Just how do you get the ball back when momentum is against you ?

I'm just saying that what happened last night was far more complex than interchanges and blaming the coach etc.

Im not sure enough urgency was shown when it was 30-12. That is when they should of went ok, lets calm down and slow the play down again.Instead we give away a penalty and they score on the last.
Once it got too 30-18 with plenty of time to go you knew the cowboys would fire up.
In the first half i could see plenty of points in the cowboys. But we touched the ball once in there 5 try run.And Sandow kicked it on the 3rd for a 40/20.Which almost come off.
At some point thou our defense should of said we are going to have a monster set where we rush up and HAMMER then as hard as we can.We did not do that once.

But lets sum it up. The cowboys scored 4 of there tries off kicks and one handed to them of a semi drop ball. There was a massive ellement of luck in the whole thing.

Cowboys almost did the same in a finals game vs roosters last year. If wasn't for poor reffing that actually win that game. And the Roosters are a lot better team then PARRA

Luck or not, the fact they even got in that position is more than concerning.
On field, why wasn't the play slowed down, a solid set and kick for touch on the last, it's not Rocket science.
Off field, what the hell did BA say to them at half time, and what did he alter to try and stop the N.Qld momentum?
Why have fresh players on the Bench, when you have exhausted players out on the field?

Yeah it's a great effort. But it means F*&# all if you can't turn that into 2 points.

They probably played the best first half of football I have seen in a long time. But again, it's useless if you hemorrhage 30 points in 12 minutes in the second half.

Granted, the Cowboys lifted incredibly, and they deserve credit for that, but Parra have no excuse why they could contain them at least to keep the lead for the rest of the game, any other team could have defended what they did, they were good, but not freakishly good, it was defendable.

That's why the first half effort now means nothing, it was nice to watch, but they don't award competition points at halftime.

It can't be doing much for Alvaro's confidence in his fledgling NRL career to be seeing so much time on the pine... his team is 24 points up with 25 minutes to go and he still can't get a run...

This was always going. Be a season with massive issues, when ta very selfish footballer who is by far abs away your best player, walks out without notice and no chance to recruit

Full back is such a crucial position and we see the results of the season from someone "chasing a dream at 26 years of age with no concern for his team mates", no excuse for the lack of leadership on field for 15 minutes ., but anyone who didn't see the damage that was left behind by JH is kidding themselves

Agree. Hayne would have diffused most those tries from kicks last night. He certainly would not have been out of position like Robinson anyway.

No, hat wa snot the point, glad to see you tried to make something out of nothing. Was pointing out that this season was always a problem due to his actions, if you think different,y then so be it

Said there was no excuse for the capitulation and queried on field leadership, imagine the Cowgirls if Thurston wandered off in November to trek the Himalayas and find himself
