f**k Origin.

It's a shit period. The whole period becomes a gimmick really. Sides that shouldn't get points get them. Worse is what happened to Burton. Can't play and only 19th man. I find it hard to watch games when all the stars are missing. Makes for an average game and a lesser product. As a fan I want to see the best quality available.

It does when the next bunch up aren't doing it better.

He is 100% a first grade player for 2024. Taylan May's case has confirmed it.
Well there goes the team culture. Letting the worst performing player in the NRL just coast on by doing f**k all. Once fit Garner straight to centre

Positives..McLean was great, Toelau solid, Alimoti some good carries and strong try, Cole..continues on a good trajectory. Our full-timers, particularly Leota, Tago and Fish..need to reset before the back half of the year..they were disappointing..paying the price for our success again at origin time..Cleary, Laui, Edwards, Yeo, To'o and Martin out is just a bridge too far..especially in the wet..

And Leota was injured and May to be fair

Except we have no backrowers. The side really is paying for going all in on Youth.

I rate guys like Iongi and Hassett but neither are going to feature in Regular FG. Better off getting solid guys to come in

The one positive is the fringe guys got a taste of just how hard first grade is
I would think garner eiso minimum back next week .Depending on how hard origin is a few more back

Too dramatic.

He isn't playing well but it's about results and we don't improve with Garner at centre (Garner is needed elsewhere).

Peachey before Garner at centre.

Our inferior bench, compounded by the loss of Leota and Kenny for 10 minutes lost us that game.

Riki and Mav were putrid and Peach did SFA as usual. To be fair I suppose Toelau showed some signs. Notice how we went to shit once the spuds were rotated in?

By comparison the St George bench featured the Couchman twins who have been unreal in Cup all season and probably deserve to be playing first grade over Laurie and BMM.

I think the couple of positives were JFH playing well, Henry stepping up, Alamoti and some good plays by McLean.

The demise of Izack Tago should be studied…

I'm fuming that we lose the likes of Turuva, Fish and Romey and keep a spud like Tago. Get rid!

That was my issue with the bench when named.

Yes we have 11 guys out but we could of spread out the spuds.

If the plan was to give Toletau middle minutes. If we started him. That would of allowed Smith to finish the game much fresher.

Dargons win both reserves and first grade? At Penrith?
Huh? What happened to “next man up” “best pathways in the nrl” “grassroots”
Would have thought the depth would cover against a bottom table team like Dargons?
Apparently not.

Tago should walk home in the rain and never come back to First Grade. There are a few others who were horrible too in that second half but I’m sick and tired of him this year. His attitude is garbage.

Tonight is also why I really dislike State of Origin, at least in the format in how it is run and how it artificially weakens teams.
Last week’s great win should have been built on but then we are forced to play a bunch of nuffies and it really comes down to random luck on the night, especially in the rain.

Our season could easily be ruined by Origin this year because our depth isn’t anywhere near as good as it used to be.
That said a 12 point loss to a shit Dragons team at home is a disgrace and they should apologise to the fans who had to watch clowns like Tago do multiple brain dead plays in the rain.
So, the riff are the first successful team, ever, to be cruelled by origin? Hmm. You should observe the last 40 years.
