We will need substantial improvement to win this game.I agree this is a very average team and performances to date not what we as supporters expect from the Red V.

St George Illawarra coach Paul McGregor has finalised the Dragons' 17 to face the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles at Lottoland on Sunday, June 16.

Jordan Pereira and Jeremy Latimore are the final two players to make way, with Luciano Leilua named to return from the bench after missing last week due to disciplinary reasons.

Korbin Sims and Blake Lawrie have swapped between the interchange and the front row.

Lachlan Timm and Josh Kerr were the other two players to drop out of the initial 21-man squad on Saturday.

Centre Zac Lomax was ruled out on Friday due to a broken thumb. The NRL granted the Dragons approval for Lachlan Maranta to replace Lomax.

Maranta will become St George Illawarra player No. 223 against the Sea Eagles, and the 1100th player to represent either St George, Illawarra or St George Illawarra.

Wow you folks are talking as if we're playing Melbourne in Melbourne... Manly are mid table, we have a very good chance of victory, wet or dry

Manly aren't a bad squad mate.

They are at home with Turbo back, playing for his SOO spot.
They are on 14 points with a bye up their sleeve.
They have a better and attack than we do, statistically.
WE are without Lomax, Lafai and Graham.

Sure, we can pull of an upset, but I would not say we are a "very good chance"

Would prefer to play Field at Centre, so that we have a recognised goal kicker and another speed merchant.

See zero value playing Maranta who is really a winger.

If Field isn't considered ready, Mary should have started Pereira at centre.

Lord help our team today.

We will know within the first 10 minutes how committed the selected side is today.
