You have to eonder if Hook bitching about Gus telling him who to pick had anything to do with the top 30 cap or not.

Gus has complained that the NRL tell clubs who is able to play and where they can play. Waz Hook complaining about Gus relaying this information to him?

Because much of the season our top 17 has been dictated by injuries and who was available in our top 30. I dont see how Gus could have told Hook who he could pick unless Hook wanted to pick Sivo or Aekins etc. and Gus said nah mate you have to pick Philips or Crichton.

Other than that what could it be?

Maybe Gus picked our squad but more likely is Gus said x player couldn't play. Top 30 reasons more then personal preference...Although we already know Griffin wanted McGuire instead of Tamou.

They want to publish teams top 30 which will be good.

I hope all they work on this week is how we are structuring our sets. Fair enough they are allowed to play footy now but one hit up followed by going side to side until we knock on is not going to cut it.

I was very glad when the halftime report out of the panthers shed was "Ciraldo was not happy with their attack at all". All we need to do is play simple and aggressive until we start getting a roll on and then get adventurous with the ball. This is where Maloney or Cleary needs to step up on the field, all we had to do was settle into that titans game and play a couple of simple sets and we would've blown them wide open by halftime.

Re the defence, we missed a lot of tackles but the structure and line speed was a lot like earlier in the year when we were coming first, our centres and edge forwards are back to targeting opposition halves.

DWZ got put into touch on the 1st. A lot of the errors were outside of the halves control. Hope we improve that side of it this week

Yeah of course the individual errors are on the players who made them. What I mean is Cleary and Maloney should’ve taken control of the team and got us playing up the middle a lot more, they just needed to simplify things for a little bit.

Love this team. Only thing I would like is leota dropped for Ellis but that's purely because I like Ellis lol.

How good will it be next year. This team plus Maloney with Edward's and luai back.

So is Oliver Clarke a bust? He may be injured I dunno but he seems the pick of the prop crop in 20s and has been passed by pretty much every other prop of that gen.
