What got him to the top of the rep tree was not speed or ability to jump. It was his ability to make big metres post-contact early in sets. If he can't do this anymore, then his days are numbered as a first grader.

Even though last year was a mixed year for him with injuries, he still averaged 144 running metres a game. Which is still a great effort, and was close to the averages of DWZ's 147 and Edwards 148.

So I wouldn't be writing him off as a first grader from one bad performance, especially considering it was a round 1 game.

Well that’s all fine and dandy but at the end of the day a Panther discard in Sivo and a great pick up in Blake Ferguson made all the difference on the weekend.

Our forwards matched there pack but at the end of the day we were found wanting in the outside backs. Too many mistakes, unforced errors and it cost us big time!!!

How can you argue what happpened!!!

How can you make an argument based on one game?

Our back 3 have plenty of firepower, they are just lacking some form, which comes from time on the park.

To write them off after 1 game is straight stupid. I’ve seen them win us plenty of games.

Looking at RCG’s career as a whole, he has generally performed better off the bench.
