I wonder if The Plane on the Wing is an NRL enforced decision and we actually asked the NRL to play GL on the Wing and they said to us, we don't think so, you can play Takairangi in the Centres and The Plane on the Wing thanks.

What he does at centre in attack can be done from the wing.

I could be wrong but pretty sure in his great game against knights, his great attack came from just “running” the ball not set plays, so he can still do it from wing.

Additionally, he now has less defence to do and more opportunities to run the ball, he will be back for the kick return and can take the first hit up.
