We were still outplayed for 75% of our last half of football.

If you were only as good as a 7 minute period of a game of footy. Cleary and Kikau would be immortals.

I agree.

We gave up the soft try to go in at half time behind.

The first 25 minutes of the second half was less than what we were looking for.

Then all of sudden, with a touch of good fortune, particularly the back to back penalty, we got the two points.

Not the form of a side likely to threaten for the premiership, but there are still five rounds to go and it is what we do from this point forward that is the most important.

Starting this Sunday we can make a statement and get on a roll.

I hope we do, because I am booked for Melbourne for the Storm game and the missus and I are none for 5 down there so hoping this season will change everything. Should have booked the Warriors game because we are 2-0 from our trips there.

Honestly it’s the raiders and penrith, f**king anything could happen. Last time we met was another crazy comeback was it not?

What happened last time is irrelevant?

Surely it is an opportunity for us, at home, to play for 80 minutes and make a statement we are not going to make up the numbers during September.

You may have your mind made up given your 99% negative posts but the rest of us actually maintain a belief we can be a contender even if it doesn't quite go our way.

I am waiting for you usual abusive responses!!!!!

Every game is an opportunity for us. We could’ve made that statement after conceding 50 the week before, we didn’t though did we?

In regards to my negativity, keep bringing it up mate I don’t care I’m not going to change my opinions because you don’t like them. When we play well I give credit to the players and the coach, you can check that. The idea that I don’t is completely falseand is usually is being pushed by someone who I’ve just ‘abused’.

I’m not going to try and be positive after a run of shit form though, this isn’t under 6 park footy there are no participation awards handed out. You don’t get points for being a positive fan, it certainly doesn’t make you more right in any way shape or form. The payers can stay positive they get paid for it but If these highly paid professionals don’t perform I’m going to f**king bag them.

I wouldn't expect someone like you to change your opinions. Your are the fair weather fan and classic bully. You demonstrate that time and time again on here. You aren't happy unless your unhappy. You are just a miserable human being, nothing more nothing less. Thank goodness we have record numbers of members this season who don't quite share your opinions.

No one on here is a fairweather fan. Every single one of us loves the club and has stuck by us through plenty of dark times.

He's coming up on 10 years here. Plenty of mixed results through that period and I don't ever recall him trading us in or not following us.

No one here is less of a fan for wanting better for the club or being happy no matter what and so on. Every personality is different. But we all love the team and want it to be successful

Yeah. They are professionals, this is their job. They train every day with million dollar facilities so should be able to at least put in for 80 mins a week. Obviously we have to take into consideration some context like injuries etc. but the comment said "don't perform".

Unrelated but did you know the Storm had as many players out (or close to it) as us yet went undefeated through the rep season and the top of the table. Food for thought.

Yes and No.

We all wan't to win our third premiership Betcats included.

At the end of the day, on the cusp of three semi finals appearances in consecutive years, you would think reading some of the crap on here we were in competition for the wooden spoon.

I agree with everyone on here, in so much as our overall results this year, were perhaps not what we had hoped for, but for god's sake do we not recognise there is a valid excuse.

If you want to condone the negative bullshit put out by the like of Betcats that is your choice and I respect that, but forgive me if I remain in the optimistic and we are on the right track camp.

You know that means little to me.

I'm not interested in other teams. My passion is for the Panthers. I just find it sad that bagging out players is so much a 'sport' for some. Just because they don't win on a given week, Last time I looked these footy players were living breathing human being not robots.

Even you would probably acknowledge you are a miserable human being?

Yes I am 58 years young.

I am disappointed by the way our season has gone. Not what I wished for, I did expect more but it is not over and I am optimistic we can still turn things around albeit I don't see a third premiership.

But I don't blame the coach, I don't blame Gus Gould, I just think things haven't gone our way this season sad as it is.

It just seems to me some on here feel the need to lay blame and there is NO blame to be had rather just a little bit of back luck and serious misfortune with injury.

It is what it is, no third premiership but hopefully a good finish to the season and maybe a win in the first week of the finals. I will be happy even if some on here are not.

People want to say injuries are an excuse that's fine. Some clubs accept it and some don't.

Everyone gets bagged at work. They earn more than most in this country AND know its part of the job before signing a contract so I'm sure they can can handle it.

I definitely have my moments but I clearly take the piss out of myself on here quite regularly. Life is good

'Part of the job' having abuse hurled at you via keyboard, social media, or even personally.

I wonder how you feel about the high rate of mental health issues and self harm within sport.

But hey it's OK cause some (the very elite) may earn a large pay packet !

Oh my.

I'm sorry this is totally off the topic at hand.

I'm looking forward to the games on Sunday. Great to see Reggie back.
