If your choice at 6 is between s budted Jimmy or a fit May. I like our chances at winning with the fit guy who is unlikely to miss 40% of his tackles.
Dunno about 40%, but your boy missed a few critical ones the other day, two at least had tries on the end of them. I'm a Tyrone May fan but a defensive powerhouse he aint.

Tyrone May - 15 tackles / 2 missed
James Maloney - 11 tackles / 7 missed

Jimmy was swatted away like a fly everytime Lane ran at him. Im not calling May a defensive power house. He's just better than shithouse. Which is what Maloney is at the moment.

Seem to be going round and round in circles here. Without Maloney we are playing for 10th spot on Sunday.
He hasn't played a decent game in over 2 months. For all we know the bloke we had in his place could have been better overall (ie had a decent game since Round 12) and we could be sitting in first.

Not necessary to shout. None of us know the extent of any injuries. Those who do get to make the call.
Sorry for shouting frog Frustrated like the rest of us Ijust think he needs a rest we are down on confidence thats obvious.wont help him or the team if hes playing busted id run a full forward bench we can cover injuries with that starting side canberra are a big side gillard back our line speed will return HOPEFULLY

The Kelly bust that led to DCE try was through Merrin & Whare then May tripped up by Whare's leg attempting to chase Kelly. Didn't see the other missed tackle from May that led to a try?

That's because there was no try scored through May. Just quickly rewatched the highlights.

He only missed one tackle in a try scoring play and it was trying to chase after Whare and Mez missed him. He tripped on Whare.

Whare is actually the guy who looks poor in the highlights. Didn't notice it during the game. I guess seeing his misses so close together looks worse.

What nonsense. Look at the clubs under us and tell me who jumps ahead
When voting went behind closed doors he had 20 Dally M points and was in 2nd place. 6 times he had been best on the field, all of them when Cleary was injured. I'd maintain we would not have won half of those games without Maloney out there, perhaps less than that. What short memories we have.

You have no way of knowing what would have happened if he wasn't out there though. No one does.

We won a game against the Warriors with a reserve grade side ffs. That still blows my mind. We had no right to fo that with the halves we had. We looked decent against Sharks with a reserve grade side also.

Meanwhile Maloney the past 2 months has been average at best. You cant simply say without x player we lose all these games. Or with him we win them. Our packs dominated those games. Which helps any half. That's where we were truly winning them. .

Jimmy played well. No denying that. But we were running only one half because that was what he wanted. We were held back a little at times with only the one half on field.. Peachey offering little. So its not out of the question that had we used 2x proper halves they do as good combined as Msloney and Peach did combined

Better in some areas. Worse in others. Its all guesswork. Maybe we run dead last if not for him. Maybe we're first if we kept Moylan. Or if Luai got the 6 in Round 1.

Honestly every game is entirely different. Hell if we didn't have Jimmy Cleary might not have had that injury. It could have been worse maybe. Butterfly effect and all that.

Mx, stop saying Jimmy picks himself and so its his fault. He doesn't. If he did he would be called "Coach". You will note that he is called "five eighth" and there seems to be another bloke with the name "Coach". He picks the side. I don't think you understand what a coach does. I'm pretty sure he doesn't ask the players whether they should be picked are not.

Blaming a player for being picked is a new one on me. You could blame any player who has a bad game for having the temerity to pick themselves, why stop at Maloney. DWZ clearly wasn't fit either and had an ordinary game. That must be his fault as well.
