Because he isn't. When he tries to play as a 5/8th, he screws everything up. Our attack fires when he plays like a second rower, which is what he is. Look at the second half last night - he just started running straight and hard, more so than he has done for a while.
So we could have spent the last 12 weeks with Moylan at 6 (improving our depth there, and not now having to rely on a 20 year old rookie to come back from a lengthy lay off to immediately form a partnership with our admittedly very, very, very good 18 year old halfback), Cartwright developing into a world class backrower rather than stagnating in a role he is not suited for, and maybe STILL having our attack firing (this is conjecture, because it has never been tried, for some unfathomable reason). And maybe not struggling to make the 8 this late into the season. It's pretty basic.
