Well here is a thought, if we get beaten on Anzac day and I believe we will, the Raiders will jump us with their 2 points from the bye, if the Bulldogs win they will jump us and they havent had the bye, if the Cowboys win they will be equal points but possibly a better for and against, plus they havent had the bye, so they will jump us. Well if things go as I have just suggested we will find ourselves at 16th, I'm pretty sure the board wont want to wait until May to do something, but they are the Dragons board, so they will do nothing !!!

That's why the current ladder standings make us look better than what we are.

Bottom line, we have only won 2 games thus far.

justa,
well lets hope the bod are proactive and are heavily involved in negotiations because if we arent already heading for a disaster its going to be looking like it after tuesday ... I just cant see us getting close after our last 2 games.. I just hope like you say an emergency board meeting to announce a new coach and if he is available drop him in to unravel the mess we are in

Too true QRV, we are really at the bottom of the barrel here, and as TruSaint said above the ladder makes us look better than we really are. I would have thought if Des was available now it would be the right thing to do to get him here and start sorting the crap out for next year, we need whoever to start making decisions as early as possible, not dither around waiting to make a momentous decision when the writing is already on the wall that says we are seriously in trouble ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,HELP !!!!!

Win too cheap to pay out Griffin that's the bottom line, St George Leagues contribute nothing to the running of the Football club, why don't they just sell the whole shebang to someone who wants the team to do well, like Paul Smith

Incredibly hard some times due to the dumb arse rule that you can have multiple players in a tackle and one of them with no intention of tackling you but just concentrating on encircling the ball whilst you are trying resist the many opposite forces applied by the others and then they all drop off and the 1 defender left yanks the ball out.

Its a f**ked rule and some teams exploit it to the fullest.

Once there is 2 in a tackle at any stage you should not be allowed to strip the ball that should only happen 1 on 1.
Hey old timer. I COMPLETELY understand what you are saying. We are from the same era. I played at top level. When the pig skin was slippery than a bar of soap. So we adapted to wet weather footy.
I don’t like the new stripping the ball rule. But current players need to adapt to it.
Every man and his dog knows that Hudson Young and Cameron Munster are the best at stealing the ball. Yes stealing.. it’s not a fair strip. But our dumbass Dragons players seem to not be aware what everyone else knows what is going happen. Sleepy Musgrove needs to stay alert and awake.
Blake lawrie has sometime had 5 players holding him up ready for the steal. But blocka knows what shit is about happen. And holds the ball for dear life.

Looking at the games we play to the end of May, we would be hard pressed to win any one of them which includes playing in order the Bulldogs, Tigers, Cowboys, Roosters again and then the Dolphins at their home ground. We have only won 2 of 6 games which means if we lose the games to the end of May, it will be 2 of 11.

I think this year, the way that this club is going with all its off field dramas, we will be fighting out the wooden spoon with the Tigers who I predict will win only one game by the end of May so, you could be right wth us being 16th on the ladder.

We then continue after May with hard games of which we could win just 2 games, while the Tigers could win 3 games.

That thick wooden thing called the spoon could all be ours in 2023 unless by some miracle we get the right coach before June and get our guys all working as one and win 5-6 games in the second half of the comp. Otherwise we will be red in the face embarrassed.

This Anzac Day game is pivotal on where we will be going with the coaching bedlam.

I firmly believe he was a victim of very poor refereeing.

The tackle was allowed to go on for far too long and ZM had no chance against a player who had been given a lifetime to get into the best position not to be a tackler but to be a stripper.

I still remember Leeson Ah Mau getting stripped in the semi against Souths late in the game after we hit the front. Every man and his dog knew that Souths had to steal the ball back to have a chance and we just had to hold onto it for dear life, but alas, we are too dumb to do that.

Very concerned about how our right side is going to defend. Crichton is back and I assume he, Manu and Topouniua (when he comes on) will be trying to isolate Amone.
Then there's Tupou on Moga. There's an article on NRL.com about how Tupou could equal Minichello's try scoring record.
Last time we met it was a contest until half time. It will be a miracle if we win this or at least keep it close.

Because this game has already been decided before a ball is kicked just after the Last Post has trumpeted out our death knell next Tuesday at the Posh You Beaut Roosters Ground, why would any Dragons fan want to watch the slaughter? Because we will beat the bloody "Sombrero hand out" club, that's why! Only kidding.

Gee, I've just realised that I will be out all day on April 25th 2023 and no where near a radio, laptop, phone, TV - nothing for me to hear and see the game, so I can be at ease and not be stressed to witness what will be unfolded on that day.

I'll be at home between graveyard shifts watching it unfold. The worst part is it'll be coffee instead of beers!
