Round 8 Vs Roosters ANZAC DAY GAME

Although the NRL was talking up the promotion of getting back to the days of all 3 grades playing at the same venue, it seems to have been shelved for now.
Both the lower grade games are being played at Wentworth Park on Sunday.
A pity really and another opportunity missed.
What a great honour for the young blokes from both clubs to play at a brand new state of the art stadium on such a special day as Anzac Day.

I was hoping for reggies into pregame into firsts as a nice afternoon on the lounge.

Why would they play at a dog track instead of the stadium 😳🤷🏼‍♂️

I have a feeling everyone that is on the Hook wagon will be hoping that a win against the Roosters , will be a (I told you he could coach) ....... Then the board could do anything, and resign him 🙄 ......

Man I watched the Panthers/Souths game last night, we are so far off that pace either team would have put 50 on us. I believe we were probably close to seeing the 2 GF sides for this year. Anyway I'm not looking forward to the game on ANZAC DAY, it should be a get down in the trenches and fight it out but I have a funny feeling it will be a flogging. I really do hope I'm wrong.

It will be a flogging because we know the mental ineptitudes of our players, let alone their inferior ability to play rugby league.

Francis Molo was huge last year in the game but where is he now -sitting out because he can’t help fly in high every other game. Su’a gives it a rip and tear but he too is out. Two players brought in to help us win these games not even there.

Hunt will be busy and some of the young blokes will give it a go but the game will be lost with some stupidity from Bird, Lomax, Kerr or Musgrove etc. It’s as sure as the sun will rise tomorrow. Not held accountable ever by their coach.

Roosters will be ready.

DRAGONS COP UNTIMELY BLOW

Dragons second rower Jaydn Su’A has learnt the extent of the shoulder injury he suffered last Sunday, with the club revealing he’ll miss the next three to four weeks.

Su’A suffered the injury in the 75th minute of the Round 7 loss against the Raiders, landing awkwardly on his shoulder.

Su’A was putting together a season-best performance against the Raiders, recording 101 running metres and four tackle busts before leaving the ground.

Dragons head physio Davis Theobold spoke in a team press conference on Thursday morning, stating the club are “pretty confident that he (Su’A) will avoid surgery.”

“He subluxed the joint. It’s essentially a small dislocation which comes back in itself,” Theobold said.

“He is quite fortunate to not sustain a significant joint injury in the process.

“We are looking at that three to four-week range. His stability is pretty good so it will just come down to his strength and function so we will just build that up and he’ll be good to go.”


After being demoted to reserve grade last week, Ben Murdoch-Masila regains his spot in the starting side in place of Su’A.
