In all my dealings with him, he definitely was.

I think he was a competent hooker, but a pants halfback. But our hooking roles are covered by better hookers, so he would have found it difficult to make the top side in 2009, anyway.

Thus, I think it was the right decision, but I wish him well.

I admit I stuck up for him for ages, but did want him out last season, which proved to be the right move for us. But I did feel for him, hoped he'd improve and wished him well...much like Thomas in the Kiwis really.
He's better than he's shown IMO though, and Murphys Law means he will have a blinder against us next year! ;-)
