Climbing up the Harbour Bridge usually does the trick these days.

Apart from that, maybe you could do something like this: @BuzzRothfield you f**king cocksmoking merkin, you're a gigantic dickhead #nrl

Then everyone on your feed and whoever reads the #nrl hashtag will see it.

Don't start your post with @buzzrothfield. If a post starts with an @ only th person its directed at will see it on their feed, if its moved to later in the post he'll still get it and everyone will see it.

Eg:

How massive a dickhead is @buzzrothfield?

OR

Hey, @buzzrothfield, how bout you eat my arse?

Even putting a full stop before the @ will do it:

.@buzzrothfield shut up. Dickhead.

you guys are gonna have to use crayons when explaining it lol

so I'll make an account, how do I say something about him that everyone will read?

Timmah just realised something else.

I was not counted in any discussions today on the Brisbane trendsmap.com website UNTIL I put my location as Brisbane in MySettings on Twitter.com

Does this mean if you don't have a location your tweets can't count towards a countries trends?

Why GCT? Fox refers to them as GLD.

For tomorrow we've already filtered #nrltitman out there. This week we'll look at tags and make appropriate ones for each game.

Perhaps we should create a set list. For Example;
Brisbane Broncos: Bris
Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs: Bull
Canberra Raiders: Can
Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks: Cron
Gold Coast Titans: GCT
Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles: Man
Melbourne Storm: Melb
Newcastle Knights: Kni
New Zealand Warriors: War(r)
North Queensland Cowboys: Cow
Parramatta Eels: Eel
Penrith Panthers: Pen
St George Illawarra Dragons: Redv
South Sydney Rabbitohs: Rab/Sou
Sydney Roosters: Syd
West Tigers: Tig

Just a Quick list, tell me if you want any changing and i'll edit.

IMO, keep it consistent. Make it first 3 letters (or 4) of the location, or the team, but not combinations, makes it easier for the casual fan/those new to twtitter to follow. Not 3 letters of town then 4 letters of mascot or a mix of the two. Set it on one thing.

otherwise:

Brisbane Broncos: Bris
Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs: Bull
Canberra Raiders: Canb
Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks: Cron
Gold Coast Titans: GCT
Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles: Man
Melbourne Storm: Melb
Newcastle Knights: New
New Zealand Warriors: nzw
North Queensland Cowboys: NQC
Parramatta Eels: Eel
Penrith Panthers: Pen
St George Illawarra Dragons: StGI
South Sydney Rabbitohs: lol@50uff$
Sydney Roosters: Syd
West Tigers: Tigs

Following FOX Sports would be smartest. As such:

BRI - CBR - CBY - CRO - GLD - MAN - MEL - NEW

NQL - PAR - PEN - STI - SOU - SYD - WAR - WST

If you look, I've already applied the tags to match day threads in R10. Using this format I'll add them to R11

It might sound odd but maybe it's worthwhile posting Timmah's list (good choice btw) on the indvidual NRL club fan pages as it might help spread the word a bit more as there is a crossover usage.

NRL club fan pages? What exactly do you mean?

At the moment we're tweeting them before games, I'm including them in game day spoiler thread titles and I imagine this thread would be a good starter.

Tonight's #nrltitman... from next week they go sensible (although some people might enjoy "tit" being the Gold Coast's three letter-er...

madunit was saying earlier today this little hashtag thing proves that kicking out Cumberland in 1908 was a smart decision.
