We're not talking about keeping cap spare for players on the cheap. That's completely different to having enough for a guy on that much money even if the Tigers are paying a percentage.

We got GI very late in the year. It only took cutting Champion because we had room for most of the GI contract. I would say that is the case now. I'd say Farah will be with us for about 600k and we might have 400k room, we'll move a fringe player on and there you have it.

2016 squad players who's NRL debuted at Roosters
Nikorima; 1-7-6-9
Guerra; backrow- centres
SKD; centre- wing
Hastings; 1-7-6-9
Elliot; centre- wing
Evans; prop- backrow
Napa; prop - backrow
Aubbusson; 9- centre -6 - backrow - wing
Friend; 9 -7
Latrell; wing - 1
Toupou; wing
Cordner; backrow
Pearce; 7-6
Manu; centre- 1 - halves
Burgess; Wing - 1

Shame to lose Sheck but good to see Roosters development working.

Development that's f**king hilarious, true for some of those players, a joke of a statement for most. Alot of a players development is done early on, if you pick up a 18/19 year old from another clubs system, you are not developing them, you reaping the benefits of the other clubs development. Broncos have done all the hard work with Jayden, Roosters will be reaping the benefits of that.

Apparently we still have a percentage of Bully's money sitting unspent. Plus the latest talk is that the Tigers are talking about a potential swap deal.

So a contract with Farah would be made up of whatever is left from Isaac Luke's contract + whatever salary we are currently paying to the player we send to the Tigers + whatever the Tigers agree to pay Farah to get out of his contract and of course, whatever a 3rd party wants to kick in.

I'd say that based on all of that, it's feasible to see him playing for Souths next year.

lol, when has a swap deal EVER been done.

People talk about swap deals like it's commonplace and happens all the time. FMD.

'C.McInnes, we want Wobbie and not you, so we're going to send you over to the Tigers whether you like it or not. You have a contract? Oh, well the Tigers only want to pay X% of what you originally signed for us on?

Oh, you're not happy with that? Do a 'Tallis' then, son.'

Farah's brother is the Souths physio... That merkin is probably getting a massive raise.

A straight out raise would probably be too cynical and get under the auditors microscope. I'd say an extension to his contract would help get Robbie.

Bullshit ol' mate, difference between U20's and NRL is the same as between Delta and Jessie J, if Brisbane were allowed to store 'potential' players we might as well weld the cup to a Red Hill toilet, ALL juniors belong to ALL clubs until their career is guaranteed

.....but the Courier Mail said that the Broncos would never lose a player they wanted to keep, after all the Broncos only paid $450K for Milford and the Raiders offered 1 Million to keep him.

Its a joke claiming they have done any development for Nikorama but if Brisbane weren't reaping the rewards of Canberras hard work the kid might of stayed so you cant really complain can you?
