Rumoured Targets 3

If we got mead, hoffman, heino, bird and Vaughan that would be good.
We would still be a bottom 8 team but would be able to compete more.

If brown also gets out fitness in check we should be looking ok.

If players like the saifitis and Levi take another step up, even better.

If guys like korbin sims and gagai pull their fingers out we are again looking even better.

If all these factors combine we are a solid 8-12th team.

I am also somewhat relieved to see that there is at least some speculation that we are looking at signing some players. There was a few months there where there was just the bird rumour.

It was mentioned though that the club is good and keeping who it is looking to sign under wraps. I think whilst hard to take as a fan not having anything to hang some hope on, it is a good thing for the club.

Anyway, Hopefully after this weekend we can announce something.

Lol.

Pay that.

I dont care what anyone says, getting the above mentioned players has to be better than the recruitment of Beau Henry, Kyle O' Donnell and Liki Liki.

If you were a betting man you would have put money on all 3 of those guys to be very good first graders and maybe even rep players. We just got very unlucky.

And in saying that Henry got f**k all chances cause Bennett didn't like him
For whatever reason. The games I saw of him in first grade were decent and tbh wanted to see more of what he could offer.

But he just never was able to bounce back from Bennett dumping him from the dragons to the Knights and then Bennett dumping him from the Knights.

As with a lot of the NYC 'stars' they develop a horrible, horrible rash when they make grade and their body comes in to contact with a ball carrier. We got 3/3 that suffered from that affliction.

Bad luck or bad judges????

Dad's army all over again.

We need BIG arse forwards with leg speed who can hit and demand respect.

Vaughan is 25. Keep him here for 8 years. Hes got leg drive and a huge motor. Hoffman and Mead are late twenties and peaking. Heino and Bird are very old but without Jez next year, we don't have any experience left.

I'm not sure what the interest in Heighingtonmansontonmon is. He's 34, has done absolutely nothing for years and has hardly been a part of dominate footy clubs, save for this year. What exactly are we hoping to gain from that. Even if we pay him 80k.

They tend to be playing for contenders, and too expensive.

We need the experience especially in the forwards to steady the ship, especially coming out from our own line.

That should be our goal next year, though the main thing standing in the way of that if we get the cattle signed, is having two halves that are not really up to it.

Mullen and Hodkinson just don't create anything in attack for us. Their whole attack is to pass it to the wing and hope we get an overlap. Poor last tackle options, generally sub standard kicking game (though todays was much improved by having Mullen at the ruck), and generally no creativity in attack.

"Roosters prop Kane Evans is believed to have been offered to the Knights but the club has baulked at his price tag." From Barry Toohey's article today.

Kane Evans is an absolute beast. Wonder what the damage would've been ...

I can't imagine he'd be on too much but Roosters obviously have a reason for wanting to move him on. Definitely a player I'd like to get for the right price.

Evans has been shite this year.

He has been paid on potential for a while now.

If he came good, he and the Saifiti's would be unreal up front, but we shouldn't be matching his asking price on what he's shown so far.

An extremely highly rated junior the Roosters wanted to keep - I imagine he's on plenty.

You've got a monsterous pack if you're sporting Evans, Vaughan, The Saifitis and Pauli. Absolutely Monsterous. Evans needs to kick on for sure.
