Browny has been having a laugh with his selections, hasn't been interested in the result for some time now. There is no way Pat Fata'utia should be getting a game ahead of Pauli.

Hands like feet but has a go. Pauli should be our best player but has a heart as tiny as his comically small head.

Evans would cost us around $300k according to Toohey. I don't think that's unreasonable for someone of his potential, though I can understand why Brown hasn't jumped at it.

is that you hages?

paying for potential is why we have just finished a historically bad season. evans deserves a pauli level contract, so about half what he is asking

I think Brown has done a wonderful job moving on the players he just couldn't keep paying due to their lack of ability/performance. It was a no brainer. I can't commend him enough. Hopefully Uate, Mamo and a couple others who may be on twice their value find a good club elsewhere.

He has had a very good look at all the players we have in a variety of positions. He knows what we have and now what we need.

Now the real challenge starts. Somehow he must sign experienced payers in positions we are lacking but has drawn a line in the sand with funding their retirement while they have a holiday. The young players he has identified must continue to improve. Something most players pre Brown have not done.

Huge cultural change still needs to take place and be embedded into the club an the players attitude to their job - training and playing as Brown wants them to.

Evans on 300k is no problem for me, give him a starting spot and watch him explode, he has a ton of talent, and the Roosters have had a down year. If we can move Uate, Mullen and Mamo on and end up with.

Evans, Vaughan, Mead, Rory K and get Wardle over quicker, we would be in an amazing situation going into the 2018 off season.

300k for Evans is a bit too rich for my liking. If he can get that elsewhere, he should take it. I imagine the Roosters are paying him that, and that's why they wish to offload him.

150k-200k tops. Pay him what he's worth now, not theoretically if he kicks on. Could end up a massive Jack Stockwell all over again.

Evans reminds me of Korbin Sims in that he has a game that makes u think hes a star followed by 3 games where he is barely sighted. However 300l isnt unreasonable and if we can offload Korbin at least Evans is younger with more of a chance to imporve

We give nearly double that to blokes who can't tackle, offload, kick, are slow and generally not real talented.

Will depend on the market for the likes of Vaughn and Evans. If their current clubs will pick up some freight we will get it done, just depends on who else is interested as to whether they will pick up enough for us to bite.

It would be a weird feeling for a club to be paying a player on our roster rather than the other way around.

$300K in a $7M salary cap unreasonable? I wouldn't think it's all that bad - particularly if we can prepay some from this year.

No it's not unreasonable but Evans is a 30 min players at the Roosters. I think if he's getting 300K atm then he's on too much. It's a joke actually.

The Roosters seem to think $300k for Evans in their $9m salary cap is unreasonable. Why would it be value in our $7m cap?
Because we are beggars. As such we can't be choosers.

If he is the level of quality that's on the market and that is the price he comes at, we'll have to pay at that level if he is the player that we need.

(That's the bit I'm not sure about...)
