f**king head patting was enough to make the headlines as, behind the scenes, a magical third party deal was arranged to snare another rep player for the Broncos.

Watch that head patting gents. It will ruin the game. Totally unfair.

All that from the coach who had Justin Hodges in his side ready to pat an opposition player on the head after an error and then run the other way.

The broncos are still apparently cashed up enough in the salary cap to sign a half according to Wayne. So any offer to Foran will be trumped by the broncos.


Foran is pure quality though. He has been a dead set gun for the warriors, would be the perfect signing for us. But it won't happen. I'd be prepared to offer Foran significant overs tbh and bank on his off field dramas to be behind him. Foran is definitely worth in the vicinity of Thurston and Cronk money.

We will probably end up with Reynolds though, reuniting him with hokko. He's ok I guess. If we got Reynolds I'd hope that he would partner lamb though.

Oh, sorry, dumb question.

With Boyd, Milford and Bird all likely to be million dollar players, there's more than enough to fork out another million or so for a halfback.

Even if the NRL don't change their TPA rules. I wish there was just more transparency, namely what company is paying who and how much they are paying. That way everything is on the table and saves a shit load of speculation and rumours. We know jack birds deal was topped up with third parties, we don't know how much or by who.

Gus a few years ago have an estimate that the top clubs had around $2mil more at their disposal in TPAs than the lower clubs. It would be nice to know what the actual figures are.

Hell, even if each club just released a total amount they have spent in TPAs l, rather than a breakdown of player by player I'd be happy.

It really is the ugly side of the salary cap and the divide is getting bigger and bigger as each year goes by.

I'd take Foran in a heartbeat but I feel like we're as much chance as signing Thurston or Smith. His off-field issues would fit in here anyway.
