Why don't we give Stagg money to Nicho Hynes? He is a local lad as well right? Seems like a good young half.
He's from Gosford, if that's you're classification of local then he's a local. I've been impressed with Hynes but am weary for a few reasons, firstly he seems like abit of a utility rather than a specialist half, in any case he's not really a ball playing/kicking half which would then out all the playmaking responsibility on whoever the halfback is, secondly he's not that young, he's 25 next month and abit of a late bloomer, I mean we've seen more than a fair share of the players who did really well in the storm system and then look extremely pedestrian elsewhere so it's always a case of buyer beware with players who are a byproduct of the storm system

I would be willing to take Hynes over Stagg. I think he would definitely cost less and, hear me out, he should play fullback with Ponga partnering Clifford in the halves.

Hynes can both play the support role and the playmaking role and chimes in excellently from the back.

1. Hynes
6. Ponga
7. Clifford
9. Bailey
14. Watson

Hodgson can slowly work his way to first grade instead of being hurried in there.

Very young but talent galore:

1. Hynes
2. Hunt
3. Best
4. Young/To'a
5. To'a/Young
6. Ponga
7. Clifford

That's what I would go with next season.

Jake Mamo is having a great season with Warrington at centre. He's bulked up a bit and is great at setting up his outside man

It is the ESL so it's hard to get a grasp on how well he's defending but he seems to be holding his own

Worth considering bringing him back if things line up

Just watched Warrington vs huddesfield and Mamo's defence is bad even for ESL standards

Pearce won’t take well to being plan B for anyone. I think he will play next year here and then retire myself. At 33 next year I do not see the injuries going away.

The big thing in our favour is that Pearce has only extended his contract for 12 months. Sharks are desperate enough to offer Pearce a multi-year deal, which will see him through to retirement.

The question is, who from the sharks should the club making a play for in exchange? Are Talakai or Nikora an upgrade on Fitz?

If they take Pearce right from next year, that would be great. Surely we should make a play for Nicho Hynes then?

nikoria is.

but we need outside backs and theirs aren’t great.

Throw the bank at Dale Finucane. Apparently he is exploring his options

11. Barney
12. Frizell
13. Finucane
Between D Saf, Brailey, Klem, Friz and Finucane we'd have about half our cap invested in our pack which would leave us terribly deficient everywhere else and Finucane is also 30 and very injury prone

Nikora definitely is, Talakai hard to say given he hasn't really started many games as an edge backrower

Don’t know why we would look at Finucane or any other forward at this stage, our current group are quality but need to change attitude and effort we should be looking at the backline replacements, centre, wing and 5/8 are more critical at this stage.

Reed Mahoney is exactly the sort of
Player we should be looking to bring here but his price tag is on the up and up and I actually put him top 3 rakes in the game right now. His work ethic is insane and he is born winner and leader.
