Someone on the other forum reckons Mullo, Gags and Kims are gonna ask for a release over the offseason and that Alex Mac is gonna quit his position at the club. Reckon they know someone who knows someone who runs a restaurant that's frequented by Rochow and has it straight from Rochows mouth.

I know it's 99% bullshit, but I won't be disappointed if it happens. They're right up there with the biggest disappointments of the year, and if they can't handle being told that they're not performing, then there's no place for them at the club

You know, I always thought of Rochow as someone who would always be a good clubman for us. His exit has really changed my view on him, these were his comments after leaving:

“It was a career decision for myself and where I believe I will play my best rugby league and where I will get the best out of myself,” he said.

“It’s been extremely tough but I just need to challenge myself.

“I feel like I’m in a bit of a comfort zone here and I know to get the best out of myself, I need to challenge myself.”

I would have thought the ultimate challenge in rugby league would be to make a difference to our current side... Seems like a bit of a soft cock who can't handle Brown's tough approve. If any of our other 'leaders of the club' feel this way then they are welcome to leave as well, don't care how good or experienced they may be.

On the worrying side if this comfort zone bullish*t that we got ourselves into with Stone still exists within the club then Brown hasn't done his job.

Honestly I would prefer to make a play for Elijah Taylor.
A better version of Fensom in my opinion.

But yes, I wish they would hurry up and retire Snowden
so dodgy that its taking so long
Depends on the price tags attached, and how much we're paying of either. Fensom goes alright, would be a decent building block to better things. Plays with the right attitude and would help our middle D.

Hes not that bad lol.

His output in attack is fine tbh. We just have better players now. You guys acting like he is terrible with the ball are just being silly. He is good for 100m a week. Its not even necessarily his attack that's the problem. He is stupid as f**k and is a penalty magnet

Also i might add that you guys have tragic salary cap problems so you guys have clearly over spent on terrible players. So its pretty rich to be throwing rocks at any club.

His attacking output is on par with the knights starting middle third forwards.

Hence the reason questioning the 500K price tag. Obviously he's in for a big pay cut.

No one is throwing stones just commenting on his true value.

Chill out hey.

Mullo leaving of his own accord would surprise me... He's been around this block a few times before. The other two wouldn't surprise me at all.

I was told about some things Rochow said about the club a year ago and it is no different than what you have quoted above. He was seemingly never invested in this team.

He's rarely on the paddock so I take nothing out of those comments.

I heard 12 months ago he wouldn't be around much longer. Has been in the works for a while.

After watching McKinnon and his partner on the Footy Show (I think it was) recently I would be very surprised if Alex would give up the role he had. He spoke very positively about it.

The others wouldn't surprise or bother me in the least. I think it's inevitable with Gagai and Sims. Mullo wouldn't want to go.

Rochow left once as a junior when we were flat broke. He came back when Tinkler took over and we were rolling in cash and looked like we would be winning comps on a regular basis. He has now chosen to leave when times are tough again.

A lot of Rochow bashing in here lately. I can't blame him one bit for his decision, and I think a mountain is being made out of a molehill with his explanation.

I don't see him as one of the guys coasting on the filed when he is actually fit.

Brown's stats from his last nrl outings:

round 20 v. manly

47 mins 10 runs 116metres 31 tackles 0 missed

round 19 v. broncs

42 mins 9 runs 91 metres 24 tackles 2 missed

round 16 v. panthers

61 minutes 17 runs 140 metres 32 tackles 1 missed.

Did I mention that Brown and Lodge would solve all our problems you incompetent merkins?

Brown and Lodge would both walk into this side and would bring aggression and size.

And given we have f**k all cap space, they'd both be cheap. If you think we're going to sign Greg Bird, Matt Scott and Luke Lewis you're terribly mistaken.

The best we can do is sign players in a similar situation as Barnett. A player whom a lot of you were shitting on until recently. Anyone who had seen him play and knows a f**king thing about ruby league knew he was going to perform at this club. Go ahead, shit on Brown and Lodge but they're both young, big, aggressive guys who would only strengthen our forward pack

I still don't rate Barnett. Not big enough to play the role he wants to play, not quick or skilful enough to play the role his body dictates he needs to (Lewis/Graham/Bird role). Classic "tweener".

Vaughn is the obvious one we should be chasing.

Others I would mention that may be looking for an opportunity and fit what we need are Kane Evans and Willis Meehan (although Meehan is more likely to end up living in Long Bay than Warners Bay).

The other position we desperately need to fill is fullback - Tui Lolohea would make a huge difference to our team.

If Foran goes to Warriors we should definatley have a big crack at Lolohea. Kids got massive talent. Still not sure what his best position is wether he's a fullback or a five-eight I don't know but either way he's got talent and a good coach should be able to turn him into a great player. Problem is we won't be alone in chasing him if he does become a free agent...

Any chance Ross could transition to fullback?

He has the attacking running game to break through defenders and in to open field running. Most of the time when he gets the ball he at least gets his torso through the defensive line. He'd be interesting to watch running kick returns.

He also has that attitude of getting there to tackles, never say die type that would help with getting himself in to position and across covering grubbers.

His effort to deny a try last weekend reaching under a titans player to force the ball when he really had little right to stop the try in his position gave me the thought.

We haven't really seen him other than on the wing so positional play would be a bit of a ? though.

He is wasted on the wing, and Brown seems intent to play him there. He needs room to run.

So how tall and heavy do you want your backrower/s?

Wasn't he a full back in the lower grades and real NRL?
