French was coming from the other side of the field. He had no chance either - they both gave up when they thought they were no chance ... nor did Tep but he showed his mental toughness and chased practically all the way.Gutho had as bought as much chance of catching him as you or me, French is supposed to be one of the quickest in the comp. and let’s face it’s not like he stopped from being tired.
No probably he wasn't a chance either but it's just a bad look, on top of him not playing well or really putting in from our end. Hey I'd love for him to be the player we all know he can be at Parra but if isn't happy or thinks it's best for himself to leave and go somewhere I wish him all the best. Especially if his salary can go towards us strengthening up our middle or dummy half options.French was coming from the other side of the field. Im not trying to say french did nothing wrong, he should have kept going. But suddenly we are going on like he did it regularly and was the only one.
2GB also said "exclusively" that Michael Maguire was running the Eels review.2GB rumouring Neil Henry to Manly next year with Trent Barret to Canberra as Sticky's assistant for 2019 before taking over in 2020 when Sticky takes a football managers position.

Maybe it’s just me but I find it incredibly interesting. Personally I love the soap opera that is Rugby League! This coaching merry go-round is a bit of a joke.

No way would I want our club to be part of this circus.I must be too old school. I prefer the games each week to be the centre of attention, not who's stabbing who or where players and coaches will be next year when a season is still under way. I also don't like the fact that a player can switch clubs mid-season, either. All that should be left until the off-season.
They'll dig something up.I think at least part of my enjoyment is the fact that it's not about Parramatta atm.

Unfortunately it won't be too long before they start on us, unless BA gets an extension early 2019.
I'd like Bennet in a management role.
I feel we will hit the road running in 2019. Keep in mind Gutherson is regaining form. As is Hayne. Brown missed lots of games. Manu will help as will Jnr and Fergo. Tepai will also be better as will Mahoney,Salmon and Niakuore.
Who in the squad will decline? Has anyone had outstanding seasons bar Terepo and Alvaro who can also get better? Moses will improve as well.
We also get a home ground back.
2019 will be a good year for the Eels.
hope there is a spot for the semi 2.0 sivoI'd like Bennet in a management role.

Prefer to play some at ANZ than that.We will probably play our first 6 rounds on the road, so we better hit it running and have some away wins or the season will be gone before it starts for us.

In hindsight it would be easy to say he did, and i know BA needed to fit Gutho back in, but if as reported French was given the FB spot to lose, I don't think he did bad enough in Rnds 1-3 to lose it when he returned from injury.
Round 1 - 8 runs 82m, 0 tries, 0 LB, 0 LBA, 1 tackle bust, 2 tackles, 3 missed tackles, 1 ineffective tackle
Round 2 - 8 runs 94m, 0 tries, 0 LB, 0 LBA, 2 tackle busts, 8 tackles, 1 missed, 1 ineffective, 2 errors, 1 penalty conceded
Round 3 - 4 runs 34m, 0 tries, 0 LB, 0 LBA, 2 tackle busts, 8 tackles, 1 missed, 0 ineffective, 2 errors
French didn't offer anything in those 3 games. A fullback should be running over 100m. He also posed no attacking threat scoring no tries, no line breaks and LBA's. You can't have a fullback as a passenger, regardless if he is a junior we brought from the country. It is too important of a position.
Yeah i dont mind a bit of a side show ... even when its us ... lolMaybe it’s just me but I find it incredibly interesting. Personally I love the soap opera that is Rugby League!
