After the Warriors game we only play one side outside the top 8. The Bulldogs.
Will be interesting but I like it. I feel playing tough games means you learn to lift your standards to win. Much better then a soft run in.
Weprobably only need to beat the Warriors and Dogs to make the top 8 . 26 points will do it this year I'd say.
Maybe this was BA's plan after he looked at the draw but then who would have thought Broncos and Cowboys will be in the top 4 or even top 8 at the start of the year.

I think Perham won't make it unless he ups his defensive game. Not sure where he is best suited. He is a bit like Bevan French (although French was dynamite with the ball).

At least the club are acknowledging that there is a problem in the pathways and they are trying to rectify it. Well done the club.

And yet the apologist tell us we can't afford to fix it or there isn't a problem in the first place.

It always ends up we can afford to do things the other better clubs do, but we either don't feel we need to do them or we do them not as well or in this case so late to the party, to the point that right now we have fu*k all in the lower grades pushing up to make a real impact for us when we lose the established quality players from next season. So we probably go into a rebuilding faze if we are lucky and not spiral into dog sh*t fodder altogether and have to come back from the cellar of the ladder.

Like I have been saying all along, money isn't the issue at this club, it rarely ever is. It has almost always been the people we hire are just not the best at what they do or not enough of them to take us to the very top. We can spend and generally do the same amount as the better performing teams, but we can't seem to get the best to the club.

It starts at the very top. If they aren't good enough to hire the best, then they are the problem. The chicken came first, but our chicken can't lay no freakin golden egg.

This club when assessing all attributes of all the clubs in Sydney is by anyone's measure bar pou and a few of his acolytes, the biggest club in the land. The only other club that comes close are the Roosters and only due to Politis when it comes to prestige and power. But even Politis can't magically create a massive junior base of roughly 600K+ supporters and be rated the number one sporting franchise across all football codes in the country like we were a couple of years ago.

But hey we aren't big enough to get the best because we don't have recourses and or money. Give me a freakin break!

Yep, 30 years experience is in the game and has been involved with RL coaching up until recently. He can only help us I think.

I am cautiously optimistic at this point. We won't know for at least 2-5 years if he is indeed a quality investment.

But if this is a new role that we didn't actually have anyone doing at all, well then it can only be an improvement I suppose.

We can do it for short periods. It’s just not sustainable over the long term. In 2017 our juniors were killing it, for example. Then we needed to balance the books.
