Mannah is a great club captain but not an on field one IMO, plus he plays only about 45mins these days.

Basically this. Mannah does get unfairly put down by a lot of muppets on here (lolphantombart) but he's not captaincy material. He's not enough of a hard arse, he's a lead by example type rather than a bloke who will rip into blokes who need it. Hes a leader either way

We don't have anyone like Cameron Smith (the merkin) so it probably doesn't really matter until someone emerges.

You know what i like most about Tim is the multi layers to his game, he's creative, great offload and ball skills, he's as tough as they come, aggressive, no nonsense, very astute and can toy with the refs like he does, a better captain and leader you'd never find and it won't be till years down the track people realise that he was the greatest prop our clubs ever seem and should have not only captained us but also Australia too, he's been very unlucky imo, he is a VERY underrated player by everybody but eels fans.

I am a very good judge. So Gutherson I see a guy who doesn't want to be good. I see a guy who wants to be the best. He aint going to abuse his body with drugs or grog. He is going to have the best diet and put in the best training he can to be THE BEST.

At 22 I see this guy becoming a star and origin player by about age 25-26 and I say persist with him in halves even if he fails this season.

I really, really didn't rate Carr at all.
