I'm talking about your argument that offering a financial inducement constitutes coercion. It doesn't.

What evidence (rather than speculation) have you got of intimidation? It's quite possible, but I'm not sure how any of us know enough of the facts to conclude that.
50 grand, the lawyers of a multi-million dollar organisation for which your partner is a high paid employee....what about that is not intimidating for a 20 year old?

a yes or no would suffice seeing you're an expert on her mental state and monetary situation

Alright I'll spell it out for you. MOST 20 year olds would not earn over 50k a year. MOST 20 year old girls, yet to make it in life or even decide what they want, would be fair shitting themselves over an unplanned pregnancy. Therefore, as I said almost word for word, she was PROBABLY pretty f**king lost over the whole situation and PROBABLY offered what she would consider an awful lot of money....

What were you earning at 20 living with mum?

Good luck with that one in court.

You don't seem to get the difference between offering someone payment to do something, and threatening to harm them (financially or physically) if they don't. Of course both are designed to influence behaviour. One is legal (as long as you are not paying them to commit a crime), the other is not. The young lady has her own lawyers, and if she doesn't want to talk to the other side, she doesn't have to. Nobody in this very grubby affair has covered themselves in glory.

Of course she was coerced ffs. She's in her early 20s, probably tremendously lost about what to do and she was offered offered more money than she probably makes in a year at that age...how on earth do you figure she wasn't coerced?
So when people are offered money now they are 'coerced'? Do you realise she could have gotten a lot more if she kept the baby?

Seriously? What about someone using their money and influence to achieve the outcome they want over another person isnt the definition of coercion strides?

What's deniable about Cartwright being a slime bag?
Nobody's denying Cartwright is a slime bag. But have a think about what kind of woman would sleep with him. What does that say about her character? Let's not forget she accepted cash in exchange for terminating her unborn baby.

Don't get caught in the paradigm that there has to be a victim here. Attractive young women wield massive social power, and it looks like this one has gotten hold of you.

I have to say if the only reason she aborted the baby was because of the money then that may say a lot about the type of person she is. If she was going to abort it anyway then good luck to her she fooled some moron out of 50k

So who thinks Bryces actions, the actions of The Panthers Mr Fit It or indeed The Panthers have attracted people to the NRL? If not, their actions have contributed a negative towatds our great game. Right or wrong, KE was fined and suspended for providing a negative towards the NRL. Where are todays actions any different? In my mind they are worse. Women in particular would be overjoyed will all this Im sure.

Nobody thinks it's good. But you're on a very slippery slope if you start fining/suspending people for stuff like this. Some people are just arseholes, and they don't help the game. But who decides when something is sufficiently immoral for the NRL to intervene? Say, some bloke leaves his wife, while she's pregnant and looking after 3 disabled kids? Appalling, yes. But what do you do?

I still think that it's none of anyone's business and is not news. It's a private thing between two people and has nothing to do with the NRL.

The circumstances which lead up to the termination is hearsay and occurred in a state where abortion is a legal medical procedure. Move on.

True. So unavoidably with both matters being leaked, I guess you then need to reflect upon if either of the circumstances brought the NRL (image) into disrepute.
