Alright I'll spell it out for you. MOST 20 year olds would not earn over 50k a year. MOST 20 year old girls, yet to make it in life or even decide what they want, would be fair shitting themselves over an unplanned pregnancy. You don't seem to get the difference between offering someone payment to do something, and threatening to harm them (financially or physically) if they don't. Of course both are designed to influence behaviour. One is legal (as long as you are not paying them to commit a crime), the other is not. The young lady has her own lawyers, and if she doesn't want to talk to the other side, she doesn't have to. Nobody in this very grubby affair has covered themselves in glory.

Nobody thinks it's good. But you're on a very slippery slope if you start fining/suspending people for stuff like this. Some people are just arseholes, and they don't help the game. But who decides when something is sufficiently immoral for the NRL to intervene? Say, some bloke leaves his wife, while she's pregnant and looking after 3 disabled kids? Appalling, yes. But what do you do?

I still think that it's none of anyone's business and is not news. It's a private thing between two people and has nothing to do with the NRL.
