Or we could put resources into the stadium we have Instead being the kid on christmas that chucks a toy away after 10 minutes because he has two more In front of him. Not rocket science.
But yes, no point having a great stadium etc when we are run by the sheltered workshop crew.

Just a thought about Ivan.

Can the man coach or does he just have a great team atm?

Whatever you believe, his decision to go back to Penrith was a great one for him.

It's just up the road from Campbeltown, so basically in between Balmain and Campbelltown, so I think yes, what other club could claim it? Only the dogs or AFL and I'd prefer us then them?

Edit: I just read a few negatives about if it is really our area, as I said, it is the next city to Campbelltown so if we claim the stadium, then it would be fully within our area and we grab a whole lot more nursery to go with it. But for me, it's about building the club and it's base in the region, may not be an overnight success, but it will be, once the NRL team gets back on track.
Well, the plot thickens:

Is the club merely talking about Liverpool so as to get some movement for improvements on the other grounds?

Good stuff TM.
For me, as an ageing big nutter, I just want a ground that we can call home and is modern. The idea of seating 20k+ comfortably is appealing.
The new ground will, over time, be embraced especially with a new generation coming through.
I cop heaps when I say that we are the Wests Tigers and not Western Suburbs or Balmain and it makes me angry when all our grades aren't all WT but it is what it is.
If we think only about WT and not the others then not playing at CC and LO doesn't really matter. Noone is expecting us diehard Tiger and Magpie supporters to burn our memorabilia. I certainly won't but.....
The nursery will still be there are it's up to the WT to embrace it and ensure pathways remain strong. Another post for describing this is needed.
The move to Liverpool is not new as it's been talked about before.
As far as the NRL abandoning Liverpool previously needs investigation before we punt the board again.
The article about the Inner West Council Mayor Darcy Byrne slaming the Wests Tigers Liverpool stadium proposal seems to be a back stab for brushing his electorate as the proposal is led by Liverpool Mayor Ned Mannoun.
It just sounds fishy to me and Byrne is using the frustrated supporters as ammo.
Where's the funding that has been promised to us for the on and off again LO refurb. For God's sake it's litterally falling down.
Grounds and even our COE are only leased...we don't own them. So the way I see it is any new stadiums or refurbished ones need to have the investors interest at heart. If it's the building industry or tourism or whatever, so be it.
Just a few thoughts that could be off the mark, dunno.

Easy to coach when you don't sign shit players on inflated deals from the player manager that represents you and you have a good team with a style of footy that is hard to beat. Put him back at Saints and they wouldn't go that much better.

Is he a shit human because he chose to go back to Penrith to Coach his Son? I remember everyone here were saying that Nathan was going to the Tigers for that exact reason, Father/Son.
How did that work out?
Agree, he is a shit human, he gave assurances to players and the club and had a contract that he broke in a second. We are over it, but will never forget.

Wonder what he will do if the son moves on to another club?

Well I guess Ivan was only looking after himself, if that makes you a shit human then so be it.

Let’s not forget though, the Tigers have gone through a stack over Coaches over the years too. So maybe he just got in first. Anyway, things couldn’t have worked out better if you wrote a script.

So did Penrith, but agree it’s worked out well for your club.

you’re coming into a tigers forum, what do you think we’re going to be saying about him?
