Hages won a premiership. In his first season. Just saying. The default reasoning will be Joey but the same criteria can be applied to Mal Reilly. I actually would have no issue with him returning if it would stabilise the place. Perhaps management is his real strength. He has Knights DNA. Absolutely not as coach though. That ship has sailed. With all this nostalgia around Sheens you just never know where these things will go.

Youre taking the piss yeah?

His coaching record aside, his player recuitment and retention decisions while he was here are amongst the worst the club has ever made. He was simply awful and should never, ever, ever be near an admin role at the club again

Jeez, short memories

No. We all know he had his issues. Biased towards Stone etc. It is more about him providing experience. We have absolute f**k all. Actually go through the entire coaching roster, The CEO and pathways and tell me where the actual legit NRL experience lies. Good luck.

Sure, thats absolutely true

But bringing in Hagan because he has experience is way too simplistic. He has expereince in making all the wrong decisions and a proven failure from an admin perspective. We need to look outwards not backwards

I hate people who say this type of thing but if we gave Hagan another f**king job I’m not renewing my membership.

Trent Hodkinson was a solid half when he had two knees.
He was a solid half back behind a pack with James Graham, Klemmer, Pritchard, Eastward, Ennis, Kasiano, etc, unfortunately we expected him to work miracles behind a pack with Sam Mataora, Mickey Paea, Tyler Randall, Jack Stockwell and the remains of what was once Jeremy Smith

I don't think anyone is suggesting the return of Hages.. At least I hope not.
Not really. I think I should have been clearer in that I was using him as a yardstick for how far we have fallen asleep at the wheel. That We actually could see him as an alternative says we have big problems. The Tim Sheens saga is the exact sort of thinking I fear here. Granted he is legendary coach so that makes it not without merit. Benji being the succession plan is risky but he is a popular man so it could bring them great success.

Wasn't Robbie Rochow in the mix too?

Has there been any news or leaks we are even looking for replacements?

Maybe this year is a write off and they trying to sign someone at the end of the season to start fresh in the off season.
