I wonder if Gardner will revisit the Flanagan scenario as assistant?WOW, there's been breaking news on NRL 360 too, Willie Peters is off to the Super League to be Hull KR's head coach.
Win-win situation there IMO.

My first thought (and fear) is we promote the likes of Blake Green or Rory Kostjaysn. They may be fine but I think we need someone fresh and with real experience.I wonder if Gardner will revisit the Flanagan scenario as assistant?
Using the word 'promote' for moving Green or Kostjaysn into a different position seems off.My first thought (and fear) is we promote the likes of Blake Green or Rory Kostjaysn. They may be fine but I think we need someone fresh and with real experience.
fills me with sadness to even think we would be that patheticMy first thought (and fear) is we promote the likes of Blake Green or Rory Kostjaysn.
"nepotism" is a better word.Using the word 'promote' for moving Green or Kostjaysn into a different position seems off.

We are flat for the first few passes. We had depth in attack and players took the ball to the line before passing. Watch us now. We stand flat and the ball is shifted left/right to someone standing still.
For the next couple of months? With who?So let’s replace him ?????, or coaching staff might like to fix it
That was my point, ??? Coaching staff should be fixing it if it’s a problem, Randall has done very well this seasonFor the next couple of months? With who?
What’s the definition of very well? I can’t fault his efforts and defense, but outside of that he is clearly the worst 9 in the comp this year. That was my point, ??? Coaching staff should be fixing it if it’s a problem, Randall has done very well this season
Very well is better than expected but if he has obvious problems coaching staff should be correcting we have a few with Hooker experienceWhat’s the definition of very well? I can’t fault his efforts and defense, but outside of that he is clearly the worst 9 in the comp this year.
I don't think I agree completely. The bloke tries hard, but he has a ceiling, like anyone else. You can't coach a player through a ceiling and give them skills they otherwise don't have, in the space of a couple of months. If you could, we'd just "fix" every backrower we have to play like Steve Simpson. That was my point, ??? Coaching staff should be fixing it if it’s a problem, Randall has done very well this season
you can only coach so much then it comes down to abilityCoaching staff should be fixing it if it’s a problem, Randall has done very well this season
very well is a stretch, I'd say as well as can be expected for a guy who hadn't been part of any NRL system until age 22. He does certain things well namely defence but he offers none of the things that are needed of a modern dummy half in attack. The fact we don't have anyone else in the squad even remotely capable of competently playing dummy half is an indictment on AOB's ability to build a rosterThat was my point, ??? He was never intended to play a long stretch in first grade.
No argument there at all. We have a terribly unbalanced squad. You probably need more than one decent hooker in the squad, especially if the one you have gets injured all the time.
