Sack Griffin

I know nothing about how the Board operates but they appear very slow and unable to make timely decisions. Also they have made disgraceful decisions such as the constant reappointment of MCGregor.
in respect to a new coach surely they have some idea who they want. However if it is someone like Ryles, Flannigan , Hornby who are currently working at other clubs I do not believe said clubs would release any of them to join us mid year.
Hassler on the other hand is not employed by a club but may have other current interests like litigation against Manly or holidaying.
One thing for certain Griffin should be dismissed immediately. He is poising the club and apart from Ramsey not one player has improved under his watch. Many have regressed such as Lomax.
Furthermore the recruitment guy should no longer have a job.
We dont have a dedicated recruitment guy, he is also the GM, Haran.

It seems that Gould was right in one point. Sacking Mary wasn’t automatically going to make thinks good here. The last three years have shown that more is needed.

I suggest the first thing would be for the Board to demand excellence and stop accepting mediocrity in all parts of the business.
Sacking Mary and getting a really good coach would have been a good start.

I'm always a bit skeptical of these reports Dave, not so long ago we had Kerr come out and profess his adoration of Hook then promptly signed with the Dolphins.

You would hope a young bloke starting his career is not going to say the Coach is useless (if he has half a brain). What I thought was interesting was the fact that he thought they played 79 minutes of good footy. That's a big problem if the team thinks like that.

100 % more like 10 min of good footy and the rest was crap mayhem. Also you are right, he has just managed to get himself back into the team, he wasn't about to screw that up by calling the coach a F&^KWIT !!!

Sullivan is one of our best players. I think he's hugely talented.
Hunt's taught him to go to bed early. That's called good preparation, apparently. Maybe they should try going nigh-nigh before it gets dark to see if they can snag a win.
I think Sulli may have confused the word 'good' with the word 'crap' too.

These puff-pieces are becoming absurd. Guys - just stay silent for god's sake.

Positive noises coming from coach and players, but the club is falling short.

It's all very strange as Hunt says it's not NRL standard. I think everyone is frustrated and walking on eggshells.

When they need to draw and pass, they don't and when playing against 10 men the balls up the jumper.

Hey Getsmarty, Des is home, it will be interesting to really know what’s happening, I can’t keep asking.

Its a pity that Paul Smith can’t just come in and take over the business and let’s face it is a massive business in Australia, and get rid of all back room boys and hangers on. A pipe dream hahahahaha

Agree 100% @Ghostrider22 . Place is now beyond a joke.

Mary coached us for 151 games. With a win ratio of 46% .

Hook has coached us for 57 games, with a win ratio of 39%.

If you take the time to look back at the forum at the pastings Mary copped during his tenure, Hook has gotten off lightly.

I don't buy this " we were in games for 70 minutes ", or we " scored more tries ". He has had ample time. Team selections, game plans, poor man management etc.

For a supposed Super Club we are now really facing the spoon.

Out now.

Are the Dragons under coached or over coached that is the question?
(apologies to Bill Shakespere) Under coached evidence: set restarts are poor, no block plays or well executed 2nd man plays. Over coached evidence: attack consists of 4 single man hit ups, one spread, lucky if it gets to an edge forward followed by a kick. The realty is the team is simply POORLY coached. Hook, despite sucking on Red Bull all game is emotionless hence the team plays the same way. Time for a change is NOW.
PS- Dragons are the slowest team I the comp.

I’d say all of the above
