No they don't, their forward pack is outstanding but to say it's way better is an out-and-out lie. Bailey is better than O'Meley, but Mason sh*ts all over Poore. Ryles is a former NSW and Australian player, but has been in pretty poor form of late and has a awful habit of causing turnovers due to overambitious offloads

There is no way in hell the Bulldogs have a much better pack at all

all we need is a referee to stuff up a bloody good night.

The NRL have already appointed Clarke as the ref.

There goes any chance of a free flowing game.

I would debate that the Dogs pack is the best in the game.

Dragons may have the edge in the halves department, but we are definitely stronger in the forwards.

Fully fit id say its quite even...Myles has been swept up in all the origin drama and is quite over-rated i feel, and Shrek aint in the best form this year

I guess we'll see on Friday night!!!

On current form, I think our representative honours speak for themselves:

8 - Shrek: Current Australian Front Rower
9 - Grimaldi: n/a but a solid worker
10 - Asotasi: Current NZ Front Rower
11 - Mason: Current Australian Front Rower
12 - Ryan: (Controversially dismissed but recently) Current NSW Second Rower
13 - Reni: Future Australian, assuming he doesn't need to drive himself to the game :D

Off the bench

Myles: Queensland (I tend to agree he may be somewhat overrated)
SBW: NZ

It really is a pretty formidable forward pack. They're the only reason that we are where we are in this competition at this point of the season. I believe that your backs and halves are probably better, but that forward pack is arguably the best in this competition, especially on current form.

Just for kicks, a player by player analysis:

1. Ben HORNBY (c) - Luke Patten
2. Colin BEST = Hazem El Masri
3. Daryl MILLARD - Andrew Emelio
4. Matt COOPER - Willie Tonga
5. Brett MORRIS - Cameron Phelps
6. Mark GASNIER - Daniel Holdsworth
7. Mathew HEAD - Brent Sherwin
8. Luke BAILEY - Mark O'Meley
9. Aaron GORRELL = Tony Grimaldi
10. Justin POORE = Roy Asotasi
11. Sam ISEMONGER - Willie Mason
12. Ben CREAGH - Andrew Ryan (c)
13. Matt BICKERSTAFF - Reni Maitua

14. Michael HENDERSON - Sonny Bill Williams
15. Jason RYLES - Corey Hughes
16. Danny WICKS - Nate Myles
17. Corey PAYNE - Jarrad Hickey

Pretty even match-up IMHO.

Except that you've put Tonga over Cooper, that I can't agree with. [-X

That'll be a close one.

I think we're just lucky you don't have a full strength squad this week - having Barrett and Timmins out won't hurt our chances. I'd actually even almost suggest that DJ in the #6 is better than Gaz in the #6. I'm just not convinced that Gaz is a five-eigth yet. The experiment certainly failed at rep level.

that's pretty well done. like preacher i'd go with cooper. i'd rate grimaldi over gorrell. i'd have bailey & o'meley equal. asotasi is much better than poore.

btw. the dogs centre combination next year will be oustanding. tonga & millard will be amongst the best pairings in the league. they will be exactly the same as gaz & coops. tonga when injury-free is easily state of origin class & attacks as well as gaz. millard is a cooper clone. look forward to seeing them in action next year. still can't believe we let millard go.

Poore the equal of Asotasi!!!

I'm dissapointed he's gone to Souths too, but there's no excuse for that sort of viscious slander. Your brain works better inside your head!

Yeah I was trying to be nice...

My favourite was tipping Millard over Emelio - both Dogs in '07 :D

How's that. A gun player like Emelio forced to the bench in 07.
