Stadium staff and service.....

I don't know... if I was high up in a public thing/club where keeping in touch with peoples'/members' views was important, and there was a place like this where members' views were frequently aired... and if I found a thread titled "Stadium staff and service", I'd definitely be wanting it read it and then monitored it to see what my thing/club could do to keep on top of the game or to improve? Maybe that's just me though.

I'm not sure everyone is there yet Fishy, we still have the occasional unabashed pom-pom wielder among us on here, that haven't seen the electioneering for what it was yet.

Don't worry Bart and Fish, I've been reading the posts and this whole thread will be passed onto the board and Ozzy.

I thought the MCG was one of those grounds where they had the rule....I had a look on their website and couldnt see it. Though I'm sure I've seen it before. Wherever that rule is, I think it's just heavy handed - and if it's at Parramatta then TBH, I think the stadium are getting delusions of granduer.

It's OK for me. I can home and back.

Imagine, if say, it's H flying over from Adelaide??

I just visited the Stadiums website to check their T&C....but it's down.

Also, I think the crowd is worth nothing today.

15,000?

Very disappointing.

Considering we have what, 7k STH now, that means only 8k other people came to watch manly and parra on a fine sunday arvo.

Are all these issues at Parramatta Stadium putting people off?

edit:

win stadium has the rule

http://www.wec.org.au/faqs.aspx

I'd be very cranky if they suddenly tried to stop me bringing a camera in and i'd be arguing hard unless they had given previous notification.

I don't buy the Denis angle but i wonder if the stadium trust are trying to send a message to the club to not try to take games away. The problem with this though is that they're upsetting their main customer.

Could it be that they've had some turnover in stadium management personel and the new managers have no idea?

The SLR's people are using, whilst they produce good photos, are no where near the quality of the professional cameras on the sidelines.

The stadiums website is up now, so to answer the camera question

- professional photographic, video and recording equipment;

http://www.parramattastadium.com.au/content/view/67/31/

doesnt really make it clear, what is a professional camera? I dont really see how on that basis a bloke checking bags can say yes to one slr and then no to another.

Don't worry Bart and Fish, I've been reading the posts and this whole thread will be passed onto the board and Ozzy.

Cheers. The main issue about the checking of tickets in the Cronin stand doesnt impact on myself but as riled a few up here. The food and service issue though....I'm sure I wouldnt be alone in saying thats been a problem for years.

So what happened to the new big screen that was being provided by the electric billboard company (announced a month ago) ? Was it installed at the club or is it planned to replace the old Rank Arena at the northern end ?

Its already installed at the northern end, does a great job too

Good points Suity.

I think we/the club need to rid ourselves of these ridiculous new policies first - gates open to all areas, repeated ticket checking etc. The place is a farce compared to last year, communication about these policies (eg discount) is a shambles.

After the new policies have been ditched then it will become clear where money might need to be spent on improvements - it might simply be on making the catering contractors put on more staff, or better management of the outlets we have? But if more is required, as the major/only tenant, the club should be able to identify these to the trust, in the way a tenant can bargain to a landlord come rent increase time.

Bart instead of bringing Raymond Hadley into the bun fight, why don't you guys on here put your heads together and pen a letter of complaint on behalf of the supporters or Blue and Gold Army to the Stadium Trust. Address it to Luke Colman, Denis, Ovo, John Brown etc. and voice your complaints, put to them your dissatisfaction with service and access. As you so rightly put it Bart, a tenant should be able to bargain with the landlord, but the landlord is a previous tenant. Luke Coleman is an honourable man, and is very open to sitting down and having a chat, so why not form a panel of supporters, make an appointment and put to him your concerns and how you would address the problems you think are a concerns, but they have to be reasonable and realistically achievable for all concerned, don't waste either parties time, as Luke needs to make a profit for the State. Mark in the Stands came up with some conspiracy theory in one of these posts, which I find amusing, as we are locked into a long agreement negotiated by whom Mark?? This is our home Mark, it was purpose built for the Parramatta Eels, so we should be in command of our destiny in this ground and making a bomb out of it, but thats only my personal opinion.

And interestingly it hasn't made a single cent profit in 3 years. Go ask fish who will confirm that, we have both looked at the stadiums Annual reports for the last few years.

Actually, no, I commented that some people have a conspiracy theory view of the actions of the Stadium Trust.

So firstly with us being locked into a Long Term agreement, would you rather play else were Terry? Would you rather us take the games to ANZ Stadium. Personally I don't mind one bit. However I thought you were plum against that, and believed we could make more money out of Parramatta Stadium.

The Stadium was built by the State Government and has been owned by the State Government since its completion. Sure it might have been built with the Eels in mind but the place has always been owned by the State, it is Part of the Parramatta Park which itself is Crown land. You know the same Crown land half of our Leagues Club is built on.

I find it quite amusing that you think we could make a Bomb out of Parramatta Stadium. We already get the Income from the Signage, we already get the income from the gate. Do you really think Food and Beer sales are that great ?

Hey if I have heard right, and the Libs get into Power, they will hand over management rights to the club. Which will mean more work, but I wonder for what reward.

Really??

I wonder what that would entail, for example, would we be keep any profits? Or foot the bill for any loss?

Mark you have way too much time on your hands mate, but you cannot work out what the reward would be??? Any business can be successful if it is not being bent over, and success comes with more hard work. Mark have'nt you noticed a change in the joint??
