Oh pulease, Suncorp are three times the size of ours and 10 times better. Pot shot?? I thought I gave you a wrap. "Uber bloke" ???? are you fair dinkum? Bye Mark I have had enough of this sh*t!
If you are bailing in the face of some differing fan opinions Sevens.... then can you please send on a request for some club Board directors to occasionally have a read of fans/members thoughts, so they can pass them on/respond/act on them?

I seen to recall this was part of a pledge relating to better communications made during the election discussions (the actual thread ended up being deleted from here)? And it seems that you're the last remnant of those promises made and link to the Board that these forums have left.

Much appreciated, cheers. :thumn.

Bart instead of bringing Raymond Hadley into the bun fight, why don't you guys on here put your heads together and pen a letter of complaint on behalf of the supporters or Blue and Gold Army to the Stadium Trust. Address it to Luke Colman, Denis, Ovo, John Brown etc. and voice your complaints, put to them your dissatisfaction with service and access. As you so rightly put it Bart, a tenant should be able to bargain with the landlord, but the landlord is a previous tenant. Luke Coleman is an honourable man, and is very open to sitting down and having a chat, so why not form a panel of supporters, make an appointment and put to him your concerns and how you would address the problems you think are a concerns, but they have to be reasonable and realistically achievable for all concerned, don't waste either parties time, as Luke needs to make a profit for the State. Mark in the Stands came up with some conspiracy theory in one of these posts, which I find amusing, as we are locked into a long agreement negotiated by whom Mark?? This is our home Mark, it was purpose built for the Parramatta Eels, so we should be in command of our destiny in this ground and making a bomb out of it, but thats only my personal opinion.
Just caught this Sevens. Thanks for the suggested approach to take. It might just happen if people don't get responses with their tried and true methods - using the media (and Josh Massoud) seems to work a treat for some to achieve their aims... but not be a good route to use for others?

As the Club sent out an email informing people of these new ticket-checking arrangements, it occurs to me that the Club is at the very least endorsing them (if they are not actually behind them), in that it has chosen to send an email rather than taking the Trust on over this (if in fact the Club hasn't instructed the trust in the first place, hence the inclusion of incomplete lanyard's in the Club's supporter packs this year).

I'll think about writing a letter to the Trust about it when it has been confirmed by the Club to me as a Member, that it is the Trust's doing. Until that time, I am looking to my Club to rectify this issue for long term fans/members. The invitation has been made for Directors or Managers to view this thread, and respond or take action.

I understand that you Sevens (and having committed to us that you would appear on these forums) are also in an informal position to pass on fan feelings about issues to directors with whom you associate? I would assume that goes for views that you don't personally agree with, as well as those you do - in this "new era" fans don't need yet another gatekeeper between them and the people making decisions.

Thanks again for the feedback, and thanks in advance for highlighting this issue to those in the Club who can act to make a difference far more easily than we fans.

to be fair Bart, I dont think anyone posters on this board used Josh Massoud when they had a beef with something the club did. The fact 3P used him as a means during an election is seperate from members and fans having problems with changes made to, if you like, game day experience.

TBH, I was quite surprised to see you happy to have a shock jock get involved. Though your civil disobedience suggestion brought a smile to my face, you old lefty

Same situation on the Western side, noticed as I entered the ground the gate dividing terrace from stand open to all and sundry hence the game day staff checking the tickets, and the extended queueing for Food/Drink.
Grandstand STH/Game Day ticket holders pay a premium to be seated in the stand, surely they are deserving of dedicated food/drink outlets.

Exactly Glenn, hence my post above with some suggestions on what they can maybe do to give the terrace people more food/bar options without inconveniencing the stand people.

I was given a tiny little black safety pin so that i could stick my ezyticket (an A4 sized sheet folded in four) onto my shirt ....finding that ridiculous i decided to keep the ticket in my shorts and every trip to grab a bottle of water was met with a warning to have my ticket on me when i come back up in a few minutes time ......almost comedic in my opinion ......33 bucks to get harassed everytime i wanted a drink .

Pedantics there Fishy. It was a hypothetical point directed to Sevens, I'm not sure whether he knows Josh personally or not. He's the one suggesting people shouldn't use the media...

I didn't say I'd contact the shock jock myself ;-). Just meant that the threat of dissatisfaction posted publicly here SHOULD be enough for our Club to get active on behalf of its Members about the issue - rather than risk the issue being picked up by a "shock jock" of whatever medium (eg Ray Hadley, or Josh Massoud).

Writing private letters to the Stadium Trust, or whispering in a single Director's ear may not be enough to get the result. Sangreal has clearly bailed judging by his post above, because he doesn't like the role of passing on a wide range of opinions - on here he always finds reasons to try and squash any criticism designed for (further) improvement. Bring back Parra Future any day...

You're lucky you could get water... that's another issue

That was during the toyota cup ...little cart selling bottles of coke and water out the back of the cronin stand , noticed the line for that was massive just before kick off when I inexplicably left my seat yet again - much to my shame .

May be the case. But surely, the world doesn't revolve around this forum, and any other avenues to spread our displeasure should be explored and approached, surely?

Apologies, but I left this out as well.
News flash Bart. The world doesn't revolve around this forum.

As I've said to you Suity, good luck with that approach in avenues outside the forum. Seriously, every bit counts.

I am simply taking issue with Sevens, because he is choosing not to recognise the issues Members are having and voicing, instead making comments here like "oh, but haven't you seen a change in the club" and conveniently suggesting this private letter writing approach, in contrast to the open criticism of club responsibilities that he himself has used here in the past.

I'm simply questioning his motives, and his reasoning for bailing out of his promised interaction with these forums.

*sigh* I've never said the world revolves around these forums.

They are your (mistakenly applied) words, nothing to do with mine.

Ok, apologies if I've misunderstood you. Sevens however, has also stated today that he will pass this thread on to all the directors.
Isn't that what you have wanted all along? For our voice to be heard from this forum? :?
I haven't seen you give any recognition to his statement to that effect.

And some people still wonder why most fans prefer to stay at home and watch the game on the tele.

I haven't seen his statement to that effect... All I had noted was his response direct to me, and then his statement to the effect he was done here, in response to MITS.

I'll have another look through the thread now, it is 10 pages. Happy to acknowledge positive things if they are occurring.
